DR240 (8X8) Grow Tent Setup Help Please

Hi everyone. Have now started to buy some of the equipment for my next grow and would like some advise on the ventilation please.

I have the dr240 (8x8) and would like to know what you think.... I will be running
4 x 600w lights with the ajustawing reflectors, growing in soil. The bit that I am stuck on is the ventilation!!!!!

Do I use a 8" exhaust and 6" intake or a 10" exhaust and 8" intake???? Please help or if you have any experience with this tent and lighting I would love to hear from you!!!

Thanks Guys!!!! ; )

I dont have experience with this but I'm guessing the sizes of the holes wont really matter, either of those should be just fine. It's more about CFMs and running temps.

Are those reflectors vented I hope? If so, just make sure the overall CFM exchange of the tent is enough to regulate the temperature.

I need to get a better mental image of what you are trying to accomplish before i believe i can be any assistance.

Are you going to use air cooled hoods? If so , just connect them all together and get some inline fans to pull that air outta the tent.
That will take care of a bit of the heat. You will still have temps in the tent to worry about too. For this thou, is mostly trial n error. If your ambeitn temp is high , well then the grow room will be hotter and will require more intake/exhaust.
Now about the size of the fans....a 8 inch fan and a 10 inch fan can have the same CFM ratings. So Just make sure that all the hoods and vents in the tent match up

Hi there, thank you very much for your replys. I have just finished one grow in a dr120 now im looking to buy this one. I plan on using two sides of the tent with a walkway down the middle so I can water and move them around. For the moment where I am I can only have really two fans as of the noise issue. The lights with be the ajustawing reflectors so they will not be air cooled, will also be using squirl cage fans to keep the air moving in the room. Any experiences, thoughts, comments all welcome! thanks.

its a big tent, and the right watts per sq.ft. but gut instinct says 4 non cooled 600w's is gonna be a temperature problem
