I never attempted any of these strains before except micron one time .fucked up a micron one time a long time ago . dr feel good I let it get half a inch tap root . I then planted with the seed helmet .next day I took the tap root back out the dirt . Only because It was too short I couldn't grip the seed helmet to remove it bad call .It just rotted on me .it would've probably made it but sometimes the helmets a pain . I sowed too early a day or two .Well, this one looks like it's reasonably healthy, still. Don't kill it.
How did you kill the others, anyway?
hey thanks for joining my thread. unfortunately that's untrue I heard that many times that a plant has enough nutrients from its early stages, from being in seed. it has enough nutrients .But it does need nutrients I got good compost. You see the white roots .if a magnesium defiency gets way out of control a small plant can die. I had it happen before some pull through .A plant that small shouldn't have any deficiencies... Even in coco with no nutrients a plant will grow a set of leaves without additional nutrients.
Also, unless the lights are almost touching the plant there won't be any light burn either.
unless its the compost causing it im not sure .Thats all I could think I didn't start feeding until now .The compost feeds for 3 months. If I was loving to death it would be over fertilized right ?Why is there a defiency .it telling me its more of something . I don't ph I have dolomite limePlants that small need nothing. The little round first set of leaves are cotyledons. They feed the seedling until they fall off.
If you are having problems that early it is from feeding nutrients when they are not needed, ph, watering issue or something of the sort.
You are loving them to death. A plant that small doesn't need anything and if it is deficient you caused it.
I did over water during early days of life .but stop that now I let it dry out . for a whole day then water . But what about the yellowing an the wrinkles is mag. defiencyIt doesn't need anything. Just a bit of over watering. Its not a defeciency.
He caught malaria & died of a fever. Unverified info from a friend of a friend of his, anyway.I agree 100% landraces should always be cherished and treated like something rare and well preserved. we still have to accept that we haven't found out what in the world happen to franco .His right hand man experimenting doing crazy shit with them fems experiments possibly .
I gotta disagree. Yes a seedling needs nutes to grow & live. But we're talking TINY amounts. So, no it doesnt need extra nutes, bare days from germination. Even crappy potting soil will keep it fed & happy for at least a week, maybe 2. Shoot, Fox Farms Ocean Forest can grow light feeding autos out just adding water! Maybe a little mollasses to help the yum-yums in the soil, but thats about it. Some folks like to give nutes to help speed seedlings along - but Iv never NEEDED it. A little mykos sprinkled in the starter pot & again at transplant, using FF- ocean forest soil, just adding water. Great organic weed if you know what youre doing & dont veg too long. Just keep up on your pruning & lollypop it. These techniques help shunt a higher % of nutes to the buds, decreasing the likely hood of deficiencies. Hope u can find a nugget in there thats of some help. The lights had to have burn it, slightly I had it almost touching .The led bulbs might have caused the burning along with the cfls .But I still keep it as close as I can, because I won't see any results .
damn poor franco I caught a high fever before damn .He caught malaria & died of a fever. Unverified info from a friend of a friend of his, anyway.
hell yeah tiny amount of nutes help .it certainly does help speed it along .but yeah a gentle dose of organic nutrients shouldn't hurt . I tried fox farm its good but expensive from Amazon .hell yeah I seen that mykos do some amazing shit time and time again .Thats an incredible product .I gotta disagree. Be careful with nutes in the beginning. They really aren't needed for the first couple weeks.hell yeah tiny amount of nutes help .it certainly does help speed it along .but yeah a gentle dose of organic nutrients shouldn't hurt . I don't see any reason not to cross a a couple strains as a new grower. The worst that could happen is a few hundred to couple thousand seeds. Lol.Quit talking about breeding. How about you get a grow under your belt first buddy
I think the reason I was having problems cause the roots were growing out the bottom weren't feeding on anything . I wasn't planning on using organic soluble fertilizer .Im just let them grow hopefully I can get at least 20 or something seeds. before the season ends with my photoperiodBe careful with nutes in the beginning. The reason it seemed to grow faster is they all are slow at first. As they get bigger the roots get bigger and more leaves to use light which both speed growth.
They look fine. Hold the course and don't over do anything. When you do start to feed good start at 1/4 strength and work up. You can always add more but if you over do it the damage is done. Also water until good runoff to prevent salt build up.
