down to 18/6? or stay at 24/0?

i am at a 24/0 light schedule and have been since seed.
should i bring it down to 18/6 now?
someone said it would help the growth.

btw there 3 weeks old.

18/6 grows faster do it

they look beautiful so far. 18/6 is the way to go.

Go to a 20/4 schedule ... A study a few years back showed that this is the best vegetative photoperiod for root and canopy development (of veging plants) and best for overall health (although they all work fairly well).

oh man that battle has been going on since the beginning of time. lol.
there is a chemical process that happens in the dark cycle that makes them grow quicker it has been proven over and over by lots of quality breeders that i know, i have also tested several times myself. we have all pretty much figured anything less than 5 hours dark wont help it.

so maybe like a 19/5 schedule

I recommend trying both for yourself man. I mean there's "scientific" evidence that says 20/4 is the best, but scientific evidence isn't that great compared to seeing it for yourself. I've personally found 20/4 to be the best in my experience, I use 18/6 to save power at times, it works fine. People often make the mistake of thinking Cannabis NEEDS rest, it DOESN'T, it does not NEED a dark period, but like many others will tell you, a dark period does seem to be beneficial ... NOTE: It does need a dark period to flower.

Yea mate, why not a 19/5 schedule? I always here bout 18/6 and 20/4 ... Why does know one use a 19/5 schedule? Haha, strange actually. Giv it a try, let us know how it goes.

we aveaged it out due to strain and different grow factors and we agreed on 18/6. everybody will have thier own opinion on this, like i said it has been a topic for years. thats why we did our test to see for ourselves. try it for yourself ? the plant need to convert the sugars it has stored during the day from the photosynthisus and this happens at night in the soil and roots, then it has strenght to grow more. healthy roots more growth?

personal prefference. depends on your lighting and room hight

i have about 5-7 feet to grow, height wise
and width is like about 5 feet.(its a closet)

i have one plant in the closet with 2 27Wcfls and 1 t5 floro
and my second plant is in a grow box, with 3 27Wcfls

however for flowering i was going to put them both in the closet with like a 400WHPS bulb and some cfls for extra light

i want a good amount of some decent bud.
but like ive been told
there is no way to tell because every strain is different

i f you check my grow i had a 430 watt hps and had 8 plants under it they were all under 3 foot at harvest and i pulled 7 ounces dry, and had some heat issues here for a bit that stopped the growth on some. i grew chemo`s
remember depending on your pot size they may triple in hieght during flowering

i vegged mine under flouro`s for about 4 to 5 weeks then 7 to 10 days 18/6 still under hps then 12/12

I vegged this plant for about 3 weeks (from clone), flowered with a 600W HPS. Yeilded a little over 7 ounces dry weight. I had 8 smaller plants in the area at the same time, most of which were partially shaded by this beast. They yielded about an ounce dry weight per plant.

I think one of the advantages of growing indoors is that you can grow 24/7.

I personally believe at that age you should give em 4 - 6 hours of dark, It really is so close theres no way the plant will be effected either way you choose
