Don't YOU think the prices of weed are insane?

How much do you think top quality bud should cost/oz?

I don't agree with people who say it should be free to be honest. There are PLENTY of things that grow in the ground that you don't think twice about buying.

Not everyone wants to grow there own, i certainly cant be bothered to grow vegetables etc so i buy them along with most of the population!

Its legal in Amsterdam but r the prices low because of this? HELL NO
I don't think anyone really thinks it should be free either. Just reasonable compared to the effort.

I found reasonable prices in Adam. Also, after I found the shop I wanted, never paid the "menu" price. It's all in your social skillzzzzz.

That's a choice made by the SELLER. A personal choice. Don't jack the cost onto someone else, because of your choice. Either accept the risks, or don't.
If I choose to grow artichokes for a living, or just to supplement my income...I may have to buy property someplace like Santa Cruz county....damn expensive, but the soil and climate are perfect.

So the artichoke grower makes a personal choice...He will have to borrow money...accepting the risks...He (SELLER) has made a choice to price the artichoke at a wholesale price that will hopefully allow him to weather the risk.

Now I love artichokes, but you are lucky to find them for $1.50ea on sale. The farmer, the shipper/wholesaler, and the retailer have all jacked the cost onto someone else (me)....who should the price be jacked on?

Eating artichokes is a personal choice...one I choose not to make.

Smoking fine Cannabis is also a personal choice...How one acquires this fine Cannabis is another personal choice....My choice is to not pay an unfair price...My choice is to accept the risks of growing my own (this is a grow site after all...even though it seems to be the dating game)

Nobody is forced to buy weed. Three choices grow it, buy it, and if unwilling to do either...don't smoke it. It's not like it is smack.

Now again...is the price of weed too high...of course!...but I am doing something about it...and I would expect that those on this site...if not already self sufficient...should be there within 90 days max! I have not bought from the street dude since I joined in Aug a year ago...I did get luck and met a grower who sold me 1/8's for forty, but I have not bought so much as a gram since the first of October...and in a stinkin 2x3x4 flower box!

But as for the cheaper outdoor that poplars is talking about...going to look at 4 acres in Modoc County for $6500 in Aug!

Ya use the other 70% of ur brain to realize bongJuice is right...the northbay is some of the most expensive real estate in the US...larkspur, corte madera, san anselmo, marin county, san rafael, novato, and also some of the finest weather, and most moderate in the nation, making outdoor weed, well a bumper crop...and prop 215 passed in 99 well ahead and on the front lines of Medicinal Marijuana... every1's growing in the emerald triangle bro.. and prices are lower than most other places in the nation.. But yet a 3bedroom/2bath home on a 1/10 acre lot in marin counties goes for around 600-900k. hmmm

When are you gonna learn that your neighborhood price is not gonna be the same everywhere?
I'm sure you pay much much more on things that don't cost as much where I live.
Like housing.
I can buy a 3 br. 2200 sq. ft. home in a very good neighborhood/school district, that's in excellent condition for under $125k

You may not be paying that much on weed. But I guarantee that your paying somewhere.

Well, I have to disagree. Now there are many shops there and yes, I'm sure some won't bargain with you, but others will. It's a matter of timing and a nuanced approach. Keep em smiling, keep em laughing....

Once in my lifetime I'd like to go to one of these shops just to see what the experience is like, that way I can form my own opinion.

Around here, the people who get the really good bud, tend to charge $200/oz. I'm fine with that. It's the people who charge $160 for leafy schwag that piss me off. Or there's the people who sell you 1.7g they sprayed with water to make it weigh 2.5g so you think it's a deal.

People in my area are greedy when it comes to pricing weed. I've bought a number of ounces before, occasionally paying $180 for medium-low bud. Most of the dealers I know, I feel ripped off by what they charge.

It's only the people with the expensive weed that actually have weed worth its price. I bought a quarter of BC Bud for about $60 and it was amazing. Only time I've ever smoked BC Bud because it's that rare in this city.

Most weed prices are caused by greedy people. I know people who buy an ounce, and try to make $50 or more off it while selling quarters. If I had the supply and desire to sell, I wouldn't charge more than $5 for 2 grams. Of course, with those prices, I'd end up with a huge demand and would need to limit my clientele.

Dont you agree top ends tho are already at 3k-4k if u know some1..i believe thats a very fair price for topshelf..after growing my own by the bow i understand the work it takes ..and even if u live in a liberal community in norcal..those real estate prices will knock ur dick in the water..so you have to weight it. 3k is 185 a z and 4k is 250. either way those are screeming deals for top end..and its already at that price if u buy bulk and dont fuck around with little shit...

Yes, the high prices now mean that schwag is raised right along side of it...shameful.
