Hey guys and gals... just a quick reminder, dont throw your tops out, even tiny ones! I've had great success getting tops to root well in rockwool. I've been experimenting with my tops from 3 week old plants, and they are consistently rooting. They are damn tiny, but root and eventually regain strong growth.
These guys are tiny (1-2 inches), but with care and patience, you will get a new plant out of it... they take 3-4 weeks to root, but the act like a new plant.
I take my tops after 4 nodes on my plant just above the 3rd node. You need 1 cm of stem to place in rockwool. I use both powder and gel. I take off the tips of leaves...
I spray twice a day for most of the first 2 weeks, and slowly decrease humidity following the 2nd week.. it takes unbelievable patience, but it works.
If you have patience, it's worth it.. 5 seeds can turn into 10 plants easily, and then you can take another set of typical clones from the original plant when they are mature enough.
Good luck!
