Yu gotta keep burping man, if you go with the dry crisp on the outsite route, its a must to follow the guidelines of 12/2-4 burping schedule (2x a day) for the first week, after then I do it about once a day for the next week, then every few days for the last 2 weeks.. The hay smell is normal, yu just gotta keep to your cure and eventually it'll go away. Also leaving alot of leaf on the buds while curing will giv eyou more of the hay smell

Yeah personally I prefer a longer drying time so I don't have to mess with a long cure. Open jars until they get to lower 40s then seal into high 50s. Repeat until humidity sticks at 55-60 percent.
