if this was from a seed then was this just one you tried? i've never done any dj short strains but any breeder may give you a bad seed from time to time. it's not their fault, it's just the luck of the draw with the genetics. i've had 2 jack the rippers before that were different from each other. one was extremely sensitive compared to the other one but they still had pretty much identical smell and flavor. the breeder has no way of knowing the genetics of a seed. the best thing to do is get like 10 of the same strain, kill your males if they're not fem seeds(obviously), grow the plants out and keep the best one as a mother. no 2 of them plants will be exactly the same. then you just cut clones off the mother and keep her healthy. i know people that have had mother plants for 3+ years. i've had one for over a year and a half. couple others almost a year.

also some strains are just generally harder to grow and weaker than others. just have to give them extra support or veg them different.

could be right though. maybe it just isnt a very good outdoor plant all around.

I have five of them all uniformed n all act the same, there beautiful plants don't get me wrong im not dissin him, the whole stocks are purple very beautiful but if a branch breaks, its dead, no tieing it up and saving it, hopefully I can save this one that split it sucks, but live n learn n keep goin out of the 10 pack I got 5 that was female all the same uniformed but easily break, I should have known he saids there for indoor not outdoor but I wanted the OG blueberry so I spent the cash but now understanding why, so in my experience im just warnin others, dj short has strong genetics just take his advice, if its not made for outdoor then don't do it, or pay for it which I am.....it made it too about 7ft tall before it split lol.but I been battling all thru veg outdoors with this strain and broken branches im tryin my best, we shall see when it comes to flowering but its a very hard strain to not get broken branches

come one now, don't hate the plant! seek to understand her - all ladies like something a little different. silica could help sturdy up those branches. I ran some f-13 from him a few years ago, most expensive seeds I ever bought, most disappointing too! 4 of 10 were girls, the weed wasn't what I had hoped it would be, and one of the four grew all weird with crinkly leaves and tiny, leafy, nothing buds - I turned the whole plant into hash.

I been tryin to understand her, but everytime I think were at a good understanding she does something else, like another branch broke.lol, a guy cant get a break with her, that silica isn't organic thou is it? im a straight organic base diet for my girls so I would hate to add something non-organic.....im gonna tape her up the one that split n the middle that is n hope for the best, I show them love everyday but for some reason she just wants to get naked by loosing her branches.....whoa now girl, u gotta wait till after the show for that hahahahaha

You have the trellis pulled tight? I use bamboo but i am also looking for a solution that will last more than two years....
i was lagging on pulling the trellis up and two plants split..i duct taped and started using a bit of pro-tekt kind of opened them up and I lost nothing...
(i know you said blah blah organic..but read this https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=235300)
might want to try adding some DE ...but i missed the organic train...so not much help am i....
good luck bro...

Yo whats up? sorry to hear bout that! sux i know i found a few broken branches my self trying to save, i know what you mean some strains are not made for the weather here, its a very nice plant id try giving it a cross with another plant you have that grows well here maybe it will give it a boost and you will still have those genetics. GL cant wait to see those buds!!

Some good old sand has silica in it and it is known to help with stem and branch strength. Yes it is organic.

so heres a weird thing I been gettin told by people, first lets tell ya what i goin on in my garden,so I had 5 out of the 10 be females, every female I had in the pack all had purple stem, some had crinkle leaf, the fan leaves on some are starting to turn purple and most have flowers on top, I had some that was crazy tall 9-10ft one was but the wind came and blam so long I lost pretty much the whole plant,so its like down to 3 branches on the other half since half the plant just broke off, a lot of the branches on the blueberry if it breaks just a little usually your able to just tie it up right? nope just straight dies! thou some branches have broke and it kept goin, I don't get it but heres the weird thing people been tellin me, so I took some clones early on in the season, the clones took they were passed out to some friends the friends are reporting that there plants are doing great and no broken branches and that there growing great, so maybe first generation since these are from seeds, the weaker traits have came out but in the clones were stronger? im not bashin this strain trust me on that dj short is the man and these blueberrys are beautiful but these first generation seed form that I grew just can't handle norcal and the whole branch breaking and then just straight dieing it some weird shit but in the info when I bought them it did say "indoor" so it was my fault thou I think maybe if I did take clones and grew those outside it might have been different? o well im stoned ill keep you guys informed, shall let everyone know what the result in the end comes peaceeeeeeeeee

i have grown alot of dj short gear and some phenos are better then others. some strains like gdp i leave alone after breaks and it normally yields best. the light can get into plant better and gravity is real. the flow of juices is faster.

I had a dj short blue moonshine out side and she was a beast.I grew her indoors till she was to big for the tent then put her outside.everyone in the area knew what she was lol the smell was wow

i am expert grower.. dj short does well outdoors and you get better results outdoors with it.. just tie her up watch bugs and use a greenhouse or put it under something.. tie her up good yes the stems break easy
