Don't buy a cheap nursery tent or you'll be doing this

Couldn't spare the cash for a gorilla tent and had to cheap out on a $110 5x5 nursery tent. Piece of shit frame is bowing with an 8 lamp 4' T5. I had concerns the frame would buckle so I used electric metal conduit to build a support frame. About $60 in supplies to make the light support using 3/4 inch EMT and a set of Klein steel tubing cutters. 3 hours and all set:

I got two cheap tents a fusion hut and a visiosun. They are both holding more weight then your light.
Gorilla are over rated.

Just like buying a snap-on tool box. It’s what’s inside it that matters

Wow, what a solid build. In the photos, it looks like it's supposed to be there. Great job on this.

It makes me wonder what kind of wimpy lights they expected people to use?

I've got a cheapo 2x2 and at night it looks like the night sky full of stars. My gorilla lite looks like a black hole. People say they are overrated, I disagree, overpriced, certainly! I bought mine on a sweet black friday sale. Nice job on your tent, but it sucks you had to shell out all that cash.

If you paid more than $110 for them you were smarter than me. Fucking support bars in this thing are so thin if you sneeze too close to them the fuckers will bow. I just looked it up on Amazon. The light is only 27.5#. I would never purchase the same model tent again. I've had other tents that I spent another $50 on and did not have to do this. The flip side to this ugly fucking coin is the rest of the tent is of excellent quality from the zippers to the thickness of the canvas. Now that the light has a permanent robust support system it's actually a great tent that is highly functional. I think I'm just pissed off about having to spend $35 on those fucking Klein steel tubing cutters. Man are they nice though. Cut through that shit like a hot knife through butter.

Small qb's would be aye okay. A bar LED light would end in disaster when cheap engineering finally succumbed to the effects of gravity. And it would be epic in all the wrong ways :)

I'd buy the gorilla lite after hunting down a fair price from the right vendor. They look very solid. I'd never pay for their regular line of 'rilla tents. They're just screwing people.

Thinking about swapping out my starry eBay cheapy for a gorilla very soon.

I had one from eBay with plastic ends for the support. Came home to my light hanging from the duck work. Just got a acinfinity tent, it’s nice.
Shit man I'm sorry to hear that about the ebay tent. I ordered a really nice new printer off ebay a month ago. Fucking printer they shipped was missing the toner cartridge, the imaging drum, and the serial number didn't match the number on the box. Merchant immediately refunded without even getting the junk printer back. I swore off ebay permanently after that bullshit. There are simply too many good vendors to do business with to waste time on that trash platform.

Those AC Infinity products are of high quality. When I go tent hunting down the road I'll have to check one out. I love their 6" flex ducting. Also bought a flange from them. Excellent quality. If you think about it show us some pics man.

I just looked up the gorilla tent lite and was blown away they don't offer a 5'x5'. Like WTF, seriously? 4x4 will work if space is tight, but I'd never want to do anything less than a 5x5 for a nursery. The price for the 4x4 is fair given the quality, but no 5x5 would mean I'd have to look elsewhere. Man that is just fucking strange. Someone in product design really screwed the pooch on that one. What blows me away is they make all of these stupid weird fucked up sizes that nobody would ever even want. Odd company.

I want one of those AC INFINITY tents. The thickness is what's drawing me in. The 4 x 4's were sold out, last I checked.
Get a 5x5 from a manufacturer that sells one. You'll thank me later. You can flower 6 in a 5x5 with a short veg time. 4 in a 4x4 max, and it would get very tight very fast. 3 would be more optimal.

That looked tempting. But, unfortunately I don't have the space. It's funny how a foot can make or break some people, you know?

Probably just market demand mate. Every man and his dog runs a 4 X 4 and I guess not that many rolling the 5 X 5.

I think those weird sizes might be targeting the small stealth grower. But yeah I agree, there need to be more choice.

This is the comparison of the ac infinity 2x4 tent poles to a old secret jardin tent. My only problem is sometimes the flap on the zipper gets stuck but it doesn’t happen if you are careful. I think they are in stock at buildasoil 002F5874-7396-4FA8-9572-BA6785E9A153.jpegF32196B7-FAA7-49E1-BBE2-71F74F087971.jpeg

Very solid! Thanks for the pics man :) kudos on a great buy. I sometimes have a little fabric get caught in the zipper back it up. Rezip. Good to go.

Hey a fellow SJ grower! I started out in a DR120. Man that fucker was solid. Aluminum poles? Nah. Stainless steel. That company doesn't fuck around when they build a tent. Dam pricey though. I'll modify a cheaper tent all day long before I over pay. If anyone wants to donate a secret jardin to jonny I'm willing to accept ;)

Mine are around 10 or 15 years old and just started going bad
Dammit...now you have me looking at a DR150. For $250 she's looking pretty appealing :)

Did any one not notice the improper top support bars lay out? Structurally engineered for a center cross bar to support weight across entire frame.

And my $95 vivosun 4x4 came with enough tape to cover the 5 or 6 pin holes. Over 70#'s hung from stock junk poles. Build it as directed. Or you are having a parts issue in your box. LOL, I do like the improvisation. Needs to be secured to a full perimeter though.
