CowboyLogic,
Respects to you. I admire your patience and commitment to your projects. I also like how you handle your hecklers on here. Not that it means much but I'll be following this grow from the sidelines and I wish you the best in all your endeavors. I hope your health and wealth continue to improve.
If this proves well worth the effort I'd be interested in the Doggies Nuts' Big Bad John (see link - http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/doggies-nuts-seeds/the-doggies-nuts-seeds-regular/the-doggies-nuts-seeds-big-bad-john/prod_1055.html ).

I've tried to find a grow journal for this strain but haven't located one yet. It interests me because I obviously want to drop a few in the wild and only visit once a month. Being a noob I cannot justify the funds on it.
If anyone has seen/read/heard about the Big Bad John (or similar) please holler back at me.

Again, for what it's worth - I'll be rooting for ya. That recent Cheese was awesome.

One Love,
Yarndi

Ya its one of those 57 liter shallow totes with wheels so you can roll them under beds. Made for a nice low and compact system. We will see how it works...

Appreciate it Big. The cheese is a very pungent plant. Ever been around fresh cheese curds? Thats what it smells like x10. One pheno though leans more to the fruity(blueberry genes)side. I have found them to be not as potent.(still good smoke though) You want the stinkers when it come to Bluecheese IMO.

Thanks and welcome Yarni. Please make yourself at home. You and I both searched for journals, info or just plain anything beyond speculation and unfounded BS. Yet that was all I found. No 'actual' facts. I will tell you this though. You being new to growing dont spend this kind of money your first time out. And especially outdoors! Not worth the risk, loss or dissapointment your first go around. Get yourself some Ceres Seeds Orange Bud beans. Easy keepers, clones easy, mold/insect resistant. The list is endless. Its one of my all time favorites and a great choice for beginners.

I will decide if its worth the money when i see how the males turn out lol. I could care less about the females honestly I've really been on the hunt for some strong males as i have quite a few nice examples of females that are REALLY stable to play with. I NEED MALES. I do not mind payin out the ass for them either, CL knows what i mean. Males are indispensible if they are worthy. I know u want some good females from this batch but im hopin those males come out even sicker.

If thats what ya lookin for the best males i ever had were K C Brains K C 36. They had the vigour to strive for. My opinion though, im sure people will disagree seeing as ya can gat a pack for £12, $25. lol Thats the best i had anyways;-)

hey man i got nothin against kc brains they have won CC before so... just because they cheap doensnt mean they are crap. Its not just vigour im lookin for im lookin for that color and stacked like a fuckin female plant not long and lanky like most of the males i've gotten. Unfortunately i had a really nice keeper PK male but i had to off him no space to save my other plants from polinating and i wasnt ready at the time.

Males are a gamble. You see traits you are looking for in the specimen before you yet it will be generations to actually see what he had to spawn...you just have to be patient. Catalog, collect, share and clone the males. Thats where the good spunk comes from.....and along the way you can play with new grow methods...

always brotha gotta keep the males around now i got room =) playin with males takes time and yeah its always a gamble til u flower it out and you can see its dominate traits still gonna get some random traits u didnt know where there but at least you can solidify good traits if you know what your doing. Im still working on that im probably only about 50-60 percent of where i want to be knowledge wise on this subject.

Real quick logic, I'm lazy and don't want to look for it (sorry for the brutal honesty), but what exactly is your medium mix?

So speaking of pots here is my new medium mix. I am now using Fafard C-1P. Its 80% peat and 20% perlite, nothing else. And VERY sterile. No bugs or fungus. Dry and liquid gallons are confusing. So all of my gallon measurements are made with a 1 gallon tupperware pitcher. Makes it simple for me, scoop, gentle tap to settle and thats a gallon too me. To every gallon of base mix I add the following:

1/2 gal worm castings
1 Tablespoon each:
greendand
rock phosphate
azomite
kelp meal
blood meal
bone meal
high P guano
high N guano
rare earth
1/2 Tablespoon epsom salts
2 Tablespoons dolomite
2 qts perlite

For seedlings I mix it 50-50 with just some straight C-1P. Some strains I know that can handle a bit hotter medium can be put into uncut mix from seed. The first watering is a casting tea to kick things off and just rain water for the next few weeks. I do use some blackstrap also from time to time.

^^ i like that i think i might try it how is drainage on it for say a 1 gallon pot how often do you generally have to water it to keep it moist enough? i know this varies but a general range would be nice to know before i do this because i can get all those things from homedepot and my local nursery for fairly cheap.
