Watching it now, its just not as good as the first season. But then again McConaughey made that show. I'm not even gay, but I would go down on Matthew McConaughey. Out of respect.

Don't know yet. It has been too dull to get us to actually watch the first episode. Tried. But it just doesn't hold our attention. We end up heavy petting or playing candy crush.

I LOVED the last season, thought it was suspenseful as hell.
Mind you, all my series are usually watched at the same time or in quick succession. It's easier to get into a show when you can watch the whole season in a few days without waiting.
I hate waiting!!!!
So, what's the consensus, not worth the download? I don't know anything about this current season at all...

Woody and Matthew are gone in season two, now so is what's his fuck.
I'm gonna watch this season. Great music and cinematography... I'm an LA fiend. It has Ok writing, most of the time, but acting/casting could be better. I like Vince Vaughn's presence in anything, but he needs to take a few more acting classes. I had to rewatch parts of it because I missed dialogue during the slow spots.
Who watched the second episode? sweet harbinger totally escaped me, first go-around, when what's his fuk met Vince Vaughn at that industrial area and CF told the kids to, "Vamanos" and they ignored Colin Farrell, then he says "yeah, Fuck Me." This is California Noir, along the lines of a modern Chinatown film, maybe not nearly as good but I'll take it.

Ive been on psychedelic binge and after returning from a planned 1 day hike that turned into a 4 day lets try to get to civilazition i beg you please hike with hopefully a smaller mammals (and not the two mates i still dont know where they are) blood all over me clothes i went to my lost friends cabin in the middle of the mountains and found season 2 of true detective on the very middle of his desktop in the lappy. I turned the jenny (generator) on and watched 5 episodes thinking right this is utter bullcrap im just gonna go off meself, but then i watched the sixth and....then 7th...... and i was either too distressed from possibly having eaten my two lost friends or the plot thickened enough that i thought fuck i need to start watching this from the beggining...

Did you hate the actor they chose as the ''gangster'' one tenth as much as i did? Plus all the implausibilty in real life every single scene that sorry piece of shit was in every fucking torturing scene therewith?
Im serious mate i loathe that piece of shit more than my ex wife's stepson's brother in laws' bastard's adopted son's ex wife's rapist kid (or kid rapist cant recal).
