does temp in the grow room really matter

Well, if they are in veg the temps may be ok but as you get further into flower you will want to get the airflow and temps down to optimal ranges or you could be looking at an "early chop".

what do you mean by "hot"? i can tell you for certain that having 95 degree temps throughout flowering will completely kill the end product. leaves don't do their thing so well when they get all crispy and dry and there will come a point where the plant no longer has leaves that can sustain it and you will have to chop whether you like it or not. humidity and ventilation are important also.

This is not entirely true. Some strains yes.

Afghani #1 and Hindu can survive very hot and humid temperatures. Other strains as well, but this is what works for us where it can reach 115f in the shade. ;)

depends a lot on where strain originated a hot climate plant will tolerate more heat

from a cool climate plant will tolerate colder nights

just my opinion no proff to bak it up

Becareful in the flowering stage with the heat you can stress your females to the point they turn hermie on you. I learned the hard way had everything perfect but my temp . Had a beautiful girl for the first couple weeks then bam fucking balls. I run my temps now at 77 when lights are on and 67 when lights are off I do whatever it takes to maintain this within a few . During veg. I'm alittle hotter in the low 80s but as a lot of people have stated it depends on the strain some can take a lot off stress high heat, windy, etc. Etc. Others you have to be real careful. I hope all turns out ok for you goodluck.

High temperatures in an indoor environment where carbon dioxide is more rapidly depleted by the plants may lead to loose, airy buds (plants stretch due to heat and lack of CO2). However, 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees where I am from) isn't quite hot enough to present any of those problems significantly. Keep ventilated and you should be fine.

agreed. but regardless of how well those plants may turn out, they would have still turned out much better with more ideal conditions. "surviving" isn't always good enough. 85 degrees isn't such a big deal inside, but 95 starts making problems. typically (not always) if someone is unable to control the temperature in an indoor growroom, they probably don't have much of a grasp on the humidity and ventilation either. and if i lived somewhere where it reached 115 in the shade i would slit my throat just to bleed cool blood. that must be fucked up. to be so fucking hot that when you bleed it feels cold to the touch.

...I believe he was saying that an Indica will tolerate cold better than a Sativa.
It's been a hell of a long time since I ahve seen a plant that was either or. Fact is, you can get an indica looking strain that acts in some ways like a sativa. We have bred these plants to to point where these two simple designations aren't as meaningful.

And almost all MJ plants like it to cool off as they mature. Resins may look great at 100+ degrees but much potency is lost forever.

I totally agree.

I come from a mindset that you have to do what you have to do to get the job done. Hot hot is not ideal, but it works. Some is better than none.

In my country, if I were to do it the ideal way, I would definitely get caught. They would get suspicious if I even get a HPS light shipped here.

My indoor grow op is bubble gum and string! ;) And I produce the best weed in my city (compared to everything else I tried here). :D

KuLong-it dosent take to much to just get a plant to grow shit the plant will grow itself --now to get the max from the plant -- all it has to offer then that is another story in another book kept in a different place.

keep em green

Yes, it does matter and if it gets too hot your plants will suffer or die. Unfortunately, nobody can tell you if your grow is too hot.

Anybody that tells you temperature doesnt matter is just trying to overlook their limitations.
