Does Reservoir air stones provide enough oxygen for continuous top drip feeding CoCo

Hello,

I have searched and seen many feed schedules, and I am aware the most common feeding schedule for a medium such as CoCo (mine specifically is 75% CoCo & 25% perlite) that retains moisture well is roughly around a 4-6hr off / 15 min on schedule, but I am curious if the Reservoir aeration provided by my 2 pumps and 2x 14" stones in a 50 gal Reservoir is enough oxygen to do a 15min on / 15 min off feeding schedule.

I am new so go easy on me :) Thanks in advance for any help, suggestions, or tips you can provide.

In short no.

When using coco one should not consider airation of nutrient solution as a substitute for allowing the coco medium to dry properly between feeds.

Thanks guys, thats what I wanted to know. Quick follow up question.... when I was watering by hand in Coco I only fed every other day as all thw suggestions I had read to let the medium dry out, but for top drip I see most people do 15 mins on and 4hrs off on timers. I tried that and my CoCo / perlite mix is now always moist. Is this okay? Just started that rotation and its okay after 2 days, but I want to verify this is correct and im not causing damage.

What are your guys thoughts?

Thanks!

You're positively begging, on your knees in tears, for a good old fashioned wholesome case of pythium.

(No - don't do it)
