Does rain damage trichomes?

Just had a look at one of my girls and noticed there aren't many trichomes on the top most buds after some heavy rain. Does rain damage the trichomes and if so how long does it take for them to come back, shes basically ready to harvest, the lower buds are covered in them!

every heard of hanging them upside down? .. this will reverse the rain's effecton them .. so when u lip upside down, .. well .. u kno i do not have to lay it all out for u .

Sorry man maybe I'm too baked but are you suggesting hanging my plants upside down because thats gonna be near on impossible, they're more tree than plant, or at least sizeable shrubs
