Does PHup and PH down only work temporarily? PH reverts to original.

No more aquaria for me. I am growing, outdoors right now, but my husband has committed to building me a grow room under the house. I'll probably be growing in soil for that, although deep water culture also really intrigues me (and might be viable if we can get sufficient containers for rainwater recovery so I don't have to bring water up from almost 800' down, and then have to filter/distill it as we were talking about).

Research & theory forum sounds like a hell of an idea, born, I like it. Especially with so much evidence that is, at best, anecdotal, and that's iffy as well. I thought it was important to discuss these aspects of water chemistry because I see so many of the same sorts of questions, and until people understand these functions and chemical properties, it's a bit of a mystery.

A sub-basement has always been a dream of mine, but if you get noticed building something like that ppl are going to assume alot worse than pot! Probably get accused of being some sort of pervert, and get lynched to death by a hoard of ppl fearing their children's safety..

We've got a sweet set-up. The house was built on a good incline, so they just built the foundation UP. That means that over half of what's under the house is above the foundation itself. Easily 20' from ground to "ceiling" (what's probably the floor of our bedroom). And! It's only accessible from inside our garage. Good luck gettin' past the dogs.

Reminds me of the house my grampa built.. It was what got me thinking how sweet it could be.. Building into hills definately has its advantages.. He had 3 stories, and only a fraction of the uppermost one peaked above the hill on the north side.. The layout was a perfect combination of added insulation (summer & winter) and scenery on the south sidedown the hill..

Sounds like grandpa's a smart man.
