If you are asking if your current setup will work? yes... what will your yield be? If you do everything perfect most 28-40 grams, for 4-6 months of work.....

If you were to buy a CFL, the best you can hope for is 1 G per watt.
If you were to buy a MH/HID/LED, the best you can hope for is 1 G per watt.

I mean I got pretty much everything down from nutrients to deficiency to lst etc. Just the light thing I thought since it put out more watts and lumens than the other ones I was looking at thought I'd be good but guess not lmao.
I really appreciate yall for helping a brother out.

Lumens are the light perceivable by the human eye, not by plant feel. It doesn't have the spectrum you need.

There are two types of light you need: 6700K for the Vegetation Stage and 2700K for the Flowering Stage.

The 6700K are "white light" and they give off the bright white light most common CFL bulbs give off. These are often considered better for vegging your plants because they have a higher blue spectrum of light.

The 2700K are "sun light" and the give off a duller but still bright orange/red/white light. These are considered best for flowering because it mimics the sun during the fall season when cannabis naturally is in it's flowering cycle.

As has been said, incandescents are worthless. They are way too hot to give your plant the light it truly needs to grow.

If you go with CFL, be sure to keep your light within 1-2 inches of your plant for maximum light penetration and you won't have to worry about burning your plants, CFL's run really cool. Here is a picture of a four week veg I did under a single HydroFarm 125W CFL. 1.jpg

That's just twelve days of growth under a 250W HPS in the SAME SOIL you're using bro!

I believe in you man, all you need is a better light, and if you're learning I'd get a 250W HPS it's so worth it if you're only going to do 2-4 plants at a time!

I don't have zip ties. I had to use what I have and would it still mold if its completely dry? I make sure not to get the laces wet. Ive heard of using tape to lst but kinda nervous because I think it would rip off a peace of leaf once I remove the tape.

You can get plant training wire at Home Depot or Lowes for about $5.

cool and Im low on funds so the zip ties are gonna have to wait. They should be good as long as it doesn't get wet or anything right? I have a 90 watt led light what if I combined the 2 would that be better?

Get a strain you like and learn to grow it as to its unique growing characteristics, food light flower time - learning to speak Chinese because you want to actually speak Japanese later - become an expert with your favorite strain...

That's the thing I don't have a favorite strain. Thats why I wanna get good at growing marijuana IN General. Which is why I'm using a regular REGGIE seed before I waste my money on a DRO seed and fuck it up. YA KNOW?

You can use twist-ties from garbage bags, bare metal wire, etc. anything that doesn't soak up water/humidity would be better.

And an HID is really the way to go. Here are my clones after 6 days under the 400w MH:
