Does my plant look healthy?!!

I created this thread because I wanted to know if my plant is healthy. If an experienced grower could help me with any advice that would be awesome?. :bigjoint:bongsmilie

Plant info

Age: 4weeks
Gender: idk
Soil: fox farm ocean forest
Lights: 200 watt 3000 lumines regular lightbulb
Light cycle: 14/9

I gave my plant a low dosage of fox farm and also just topped, pruned, and put it through some lst this past Thursday. I also think I see pistils but idk if they are if someone could help me determine if it's a male or female, and also if the light I'm using is ok or do I need a different one?Because I was planning on getting a metal halide but was trying to see if there was a metal halide light bulb that fits into a regular lamp.

It looks healthy, but it's probably too early to tell gender. If you post a different picture I might be able to tell you.
 
Household incandescent bulbs cause cannabis to grow slower than if you were using MH/HID, LED, CFL.
If you want to use metal halide or HID then you need a ballast and a lamp and a bulb. about $200 or more
I use CFL lamps with CFL bulbs because I can't afford a ballast right now.
6500k CFL for veg/ 2700k CFL for Flower.
I paid $65 for a 125w 6500k CFL bulb and lamp.

Minimum lumens per sq. ft for flowering is 2,000 lumens per sq ft.
Ideally you want 10,000 lumens per sq ft.

You cannot tell gender unless your plant is in flowering. Either and autoflowering strain or you switch your lights to 12/12.

In between the fan leaves and the stem grows a what will eventually become bud.

Personally, I think your plant is a little behind on growth. My plant at 4 weeks has 10-12 nodes.
 
So should I add another 200 watt light bulb??
It's probably due to the low wattage you think?
But does it look healthy overall?
Would the increase light wattage make it grow faster?
 
It's not a strain it's just a regular Reggie seed. I wanted to test out and get really good at growing before I start on strains.
 
you also need to worry about what color/temperature the light is giving off. To grow cannabis most people use 6500k for vegetive state and they use 2700k for flowering. on the package it should say what it is.

If you using a regular light bulb I am assume you mean Incandescent. If you want a bigger yield and quality bud switch to a CFL light bulb. They can be found a Walmart and anything under 48w will fit in a regular lamp. Anything over 100w CFL usually requires an adapter or a special plug.

Ya Incandescent is not worth the time or effort. I looked up the most anyones yielded from an incandescent and it was less than 28 grams on a 5 ft plant. took him 6 months to get 28 grams.... not worth it

What about this one and the incandescent one I already have. You think that would be enough?

Growing is an investment: I smoked about $8,000 a year without realizing how much I was paying.
Now I grow my own for about $700 startup- about $100 every 4 months.
Instead of $8,000 a year for bud, I pay $300 a year to grow my own.

The hardest part is the upfront cost. But the way I look at, I'm saving lots of money by doing it right the first time.

If you live near a city, take advantage of the hydroponics store. They have everything you need.

If you are not convinced that CFL's are better than incandescent you are using, then just look at your plant at 30 days old versus mine.
The picture of the two plants in the back were taken at 30 days old, 10-12 nodes..
The three smaller ones are 21 weeks old and have 6-8 nodes...

What about a 90 watt led and a incandescent. I attached a pic
