Okay so my parents are out of town for a couple of weeks and I really wanted to make some weed brownies. They seem really easy and fun, but how bad do they smell when you make them? Any tips on how get get rid of the smell? Thanks!

Are you going to just toss the weed in the mix? Or are you going to make budder, or hash/concentrates to add?

If you just toss the weed in, it would probably make things taste terrible and im sure it would also smell up the place :P

Concentrates though, that might be a different story. I have never done this myself, so I dont know for sure, but I would assume that using budder or other concentrates would help to ease up on the smell and give you a better end product.

Mmmmm. :weed: Yea, you can do either. Me, I prefer to grind my chosen buds up as small as I can or just use a coffee grinder and throw it all in the mix with whatever kief I have. I am kind of crazy about the taste of chocolate and weed mixed together. When I've made them the smell didn't last more then a few days without doing anything extra. If you're super concerned then maybe light some candles, spray something or use Ona for a few days. There is also this stuff at Home Depot called, "Natural Magic." This stuff comes in an apple pie scent that would probably work well - by itself or in conjunction with other methods. Good luck :bigjoint: :peace:

Plant material = green "hay" flavor. Yuk.

Best results could be obtained using a QWET concentrate, added to the required veggie oil and mostly decarboxylated in a hot oil bath at 250f for 20-25 minutes, then cooled in a water bath to stop decarb and cool the oil mixture prior to adding to brownie mix.

Sorry... Quick Wash Ethanol (drinking alcohol, everclear)

Simple QWET

1. Put your 190 proof grain alcohol and your glass jar of ground pot in the freezer.
2. Once chilled to 0f pour the alcohol in the jar.
3. Let soak for a few minutes in freezer, we don't want the green...
4. Filter using a coffee filter
5. Thin film evaporate in a pyrex dish. Be smart, slow n low. Do not speed evaporation on a gas stove ;)

You can now dissolve the "shatter" or "sap" that's stuck on the dish using your vegetable oil and a little heat.

oh yeah, and it will smell but should clear within 24 hours of baking.

If you have a nice lemon strain, your brownies will have a hint of lemon aroma. Because you skipped cooking with all the twigery you avoid the unpleasant "hay" flavor.
