Does fresh air supply actually make any difference?

Ok so basically im pulling 0.5g dry per watt of light with my current set up which varys between 7-10 cuttings but im going in for my 5th grow now and will be adding a fresh air intake into the tent and also using less plants. Now what i wanna know is will the fresh air actually make any of a difference to the quality/growth of the plants? Will it increase the dry weight? Does the 100w of light per plant rule actually make any difference?

Im going for 6 blue cheese (clones) vegged for 3 weeks flowered for 8/9 weeks under a 600w hps in 3 gal soil pots, bio bizz nutes, in 1m x 1m tent just incase your curious to the basics im using.

fresh out will certainly help things for sure, but it's only one of a few things that i could see that you could change to help increase your yields..
one of the others would be to increase your veg periods.. the longer you veg, the bigger the plants will be and we all know that all things being equal, larger plants means larger yields..
the second thing i could see is larger container size, say 5 gallon, instead of the current 3 that you use.. same theory, bigger container means bigger root mass which will help support bigger plants ime.

Does it matter to you? the plants needs fresh co2 so you have to get the old used air out.

buds, well obviously thats the whole point of the extraction fan?! Great avatar btw.

racerboy, so what would you expect with the set up i explained, around the same 0.5g mark? Im looking for abit more quality this time so the weight issue isnt really a great deal im more interested in the final product and hope the fresh air will make a whole heap of difference.

well plants are no different really than you or i m8, and how would you feel if i were to zip you up in a tent for a few months without much in the way of fresh air?? not great i would think.. you'd probably live fine, but would you thrive and be at your best? of course not.. i have the same issues with my small closet grow, but i've slowly been working on getting fresh air into the space and i have seen things slowly getting better with each tweak that i'm making..

If you want to make the biggest/best differance in your "quality". I would suggest, rather than bringing fresh air in, add Carbon Dioxide. Your plants use CO2 as an energy source and exhaust Oxygen.

What size fan are you exhausting with? If you mean just adding an intake fan instead of just a passive intake then I don't think it will make any difference in yeild. If you are in a tent and are maintaining decent temps with just your exhaust then an intake fan is not necessary.
