Does bigger lights equal more buds??

Hi I'm a new grower, I have haze special seeds, and my grow tent is 4ftx2ftx6ft. I'm tryin to get 2 ounces per plant and I want to grow at least 4 plants in my tent at once. I'm thing about get 400w hps/mh lights or the 600hps/mh. I'm looking to get the largest yield possible, which size would be better.
Please help I need as much possible not want to fuck this up

4ft wide 2ft deep and 6ft high am i right?. if so the biggest light i would reccommend would be a 400wmh/hps. any more and you will create a lot of heat and be wasting lumens too. if you were to use an air coold hood you could easily use a 600w, you would notice a difference in the amount of bud you get

As long as you can control heat, bigger is better. The bigger the light, the better the penetration so you will get a better yield down low. My personal experience with indoor growing is with a 4x4x6 foot tent. My first light was 400 watt and my yield off 2 plants was just shy of 6 ounces dry. Both plants were Afghan #1. The first yielded 2.5 dry, the second 3 dry. I switched up to a 600 watt lamp and my yield went up about a half per plant, though I grew out White Widow, so that could have been strain specific. The one thing that I noticed with the larger light is the lower stems produced nice "mini kolas". YMMV.

For the tent size you are working with, I would think that a 400 watt lamp would do you fine. JMO.

Yeah the side of my grow tent is rite, I'll make sure I get an air cooled hood. Do u think I could get 2ounces per plant if I go with the 400?? If not I don't mind spending the extra to get more buds.

More wattage the better of course,
so if you want more bud then ya get the 600W,
but it really all depends,
any pictures of your room?

2oz per plant is easily doable, you would need to veg for a while to obtain that amount though. i personally think 10 small plants under an air cooled 600w hps would be the best way to maximize your yield.

10 plants will stiiiiink get yourself a ventilation and a carbon filter

Thanks for the help I really need it!! I'll go with the 400 then. Wow 6oz off 2 plants that's great u make me want to get afghan#1 now!! I'm not sure but what's a kolas?? I been hearing that term quite often. Do u think my tent size is enough room to grow 4 plants in??

10 plants wow my grow box is too small for that! Do u think I could fit more than 4 in a 4ft by 2ft by 6ft box?? What does kolas mean I been hearing that term alot recently

Kola is the term for a long bud that covers multiple nodes, at least in my book. I would think that you could grow 4 plants in that space if you let them grow up and not bushy. I would think that you could grow two righteous plants in that space. 4 might be tight if you let them spread out any.

Get the 600 aircooled you can get the light closer }

My grow tent is 4ft by2ft by 5ft. Do u think I can grow more than 4 plants in that size tent?? And what does kolas mean?? I have been hearing that term alot lately

You can cram them in SOG style , square deep pot's with one week veg . 4X5 pot's kinda thing going on or 3x5 you have a tight space
Or less numbers with bigger longer veg .
