lol my bad man im baked.
i have 6 40w CFL's;
(each bulb puts out 1900 lumens) = 11,400 lumens.

for 2 small plants.
would i get a decent yeild/smoke from this?

that should be more than enough for veg. for two plants.

you could definitely bud with that much light. they won't be the tightest buds you've seen, however. an important point with CFLs is that you need to have them relatively close ... and use reflective mylar or similar to get the most out of what you've got.

what temperature bulbs do you have?

well the thing is for veg im using those CFL's and possibly for flowering. but im trying to find a cheap 70-100w HPS floodlight. (for flowering and just add the CFL to the small HPS. ) but if i cant i just want to use CFL's all the way through.
right now i have 3 warm white and 3 cool white ( 2700k and 6500k)

if you can't find one, you should still get some smoke with those CFLs. i would seriously recommend getting a 150W to supplement, but I already told you that in the other thread.

if you're in the states, go to Ace and get yourself one for $90. It might take a little rigging, but it'll do the job. a 70W guy will cost you $70, and you'll have to do the same amount of work. otherwise, drop a little more dough and hop on ebay for a 150W duder.

well i found a 150w HPS floodlight for $70.
but i dont know how to set it up.
this is fucking confusing i think im going to just use 6 40w CFL's for veg then add 2 more for flower....
sounds good to me bcuz im still young and money is the big problem i can get like $50 a weeek,
sooo yeah
this would be my 1st grow ever so i think the CFL's would do just fine :D

hahaha yeah it would be.
even the lower wattage HID lights put out ALOT of heat.
is there any way i can premote more branching from the nodes without tying anything down??

nothing but i will see my grow room like 2 times a week.
and i dont want something to go wrong.
if i tie down the top so my plant is horizontal will i get budsites all over the plant??

you don't have to worry about the plant being okay as long as you reinforce the main stem. you can also just let it grow larger, then pull the main branches out to the sides horizontally. within an hour or two, the tips will turn upward toward the light, and other branches near the interior of the plant will be hooked up with a bunch more light. it's freaking awesome.

hmm i dont understandd.
my first plant ever ( just as a hobby in the windowsill) was fucking awesome but it flowered without 12/12 and was fucking dank as hell... but i never flowered or anything it had 1 main cola.. and it was in flower for about 2 months and it never grew mature buds.

anyway i just want a short plant with lots of colas

if a plant does not have sufficient light, it will not branch much - it will continue to reach upward to get more light. with enough light, it will continually branch, and after not too long all leaves will essentially be attached to peripheral branches. you'll see what i mean after your plants start to get larger, assuming you get those lights right down on them so they don't stretch.
