I just found a masive untouched swamp and i was going to johny apple seed a bunch of clones around the perimiter. Now how do i go about it. The soil is crazy good and a good ph level. But its still pretty spungy at this time. Our clones are in 1gal pots at the moment. I was thinkin about digging a hole the same size as the pot but only 1/3 the depth. I was going to pull the root ball out of the pot then drill a dozen or so 1ich holes in the botton 1/3 of the pot then put the root ball back in. Then drop the pot in the swamp. Will this work? Iif the roots head down to the water kinda like a hydro set up. The top roots will eventualy get dry and supply the plant with enough oxy. This is all just me being very high pipe dreaming in my hamick.

Will it work?

I would worry about it getting mold from sitting in that stagnent water or even root rot. I do not have experience growing in a swamp though buddy

I think you would be bette roff trying to find a river that is flowing and let the roots have constant water movement over them. IMO i think this would rock.

My friend's house is near a swamp and he battles powdery mildew constantly. milk can help make your plants resistant to it, silica could help as well. if you think you might have problems with PM google search "got mildew, get milk", there's a pretty cool article about using milk on your plants.

sorry i dont think your idea would work because the roots that grow into the soggy soil would suffocate while the roots above would dry out, if you could supply oxygen to the roots in the soggy soil then they would live and wick moisture upward to the roots in the pot.
i would try using the soil in above ground pots, or maybe even just piling it up till its above the water level. but the water is not your main concern you can invent a million ways to grow off the ground including building growspots in trees. the issue is as stated above mold and mildew that would be ever present in swamp areas, see if you can find a breezeway where air wont be stagnate and stale so spores cant settle on your plants. im sure you can find a way to make your situation work, remember its a weed and grows pretty much anywhere. good luck hope you get lbs to smoke
and if everyone grew in there front yard it would be legal in no time
