does any one no about water hardness and conductivity ?

was looking at my water companies water stats and this is what it sed about my hardness and conductivity

hardness clarke 6.825 clark ( clark bein the unit type )

it says my water varys from soft to moderatly hard .

my conductivity read 283 ( uS/cm at 20oC ) whatever this means i am not sure !

i dont have a ppm tester is this number benaficial in anyway to me ? .

yes, 283 uS/cm = 141ppm (on a 0.5 conversion). That's not soft but not very hard either, mine for instance is more than twice as that.

yes basicaly thats what am thinking, i allready use it but as i av severe yellowing 33 days into 12/12 i was wondering if my tap water was any kind of added problem, but i guess its all good, could i ask you what is the ideal ppm for mid flower ? and is the ppm increased by the amount of nutes used ? is it the nutes that raise this number, also is my ppm tap water low or high ? as regards to suplementing it with nutes. cheeres man !

My ppm is around 300 to 320 which is harder water than yours. I would add epsom salt to supplement Mag since tap water usually has plenty of Calcium. Also give it some Nitrogen as well to stop the Yellowing. You want to keep the plants green. My plants are yellowing out because I withdrew the Nitrogen too early in flowering.

ppm for mid flower depends on how much you are watering it and the size of your pot...so if you give it about 1/5th-1/4th of your container size of water, i'd say about 800-900ppm would be about right.

to eliminate yellowing in flowering (which isn't all that bad esp as you approach harvest), you need to feed the same amount of nutrients (=ppm, yes), but with more N in them - change the ratio, not the amount.
