Does a trained plant stretch about the same?

I messed up with cloning and wound up with only one plant to grow in a closet that I normally flower four small ones in. I'm too lazy to trim so instead of scrogging I tried to make one plant into four plants by topping and training down.

My indicas usually about double in height, will this rule still stand? If I've got four inches of trunk before the split, then 16 inches on each main branch tied down, can I expect ballpark 20" of stretch?

Bonus question about apical dominance: Some of the lower branches were growing up toward the light and wound up being a little higher up than the tied down growing tips on the end of the main branches. Will these stunt my main growing tips?

Whatever tops are getting more direct light will grow more productively. The lower growth shoots that are shaded from direct light will stretch with greater internodal lengths until they find the direct light. Do something like this to spread out the branches and get more tops exposed to direct light. It's not SCROG, just spread out the branches. That's inexpensive VIVOSUN trellis net off of Amazon. It cost like $8 for 5'x30'. I used zip ties to fix it to garden stakes.

It's already mostly set up as a four big branches. I could set it up like yours with a couple more weeks but my Blueberry seeds are doing better than expected and I'm already a week late on the flip so I'm gonna stay the course.

Ignore the wilt, this thing is increasing it's water intake so fast that I've been behind since potting up.

They should be tied down flatter to the sticks but I wanted them higher than those inside buds for now.

An update in case anyone finds this thread later.

When I flipped the light, the length (starting at coco level, measured up, then out to the tip) was 53cm.

Total length now is about 95cm on the longest branch, although 90cm or just a bit under is a bit more average.

If I didn't mention before, it's Master Kush.

Unexpected problem: the branches are trying to grow toward the light and pulling into the center and away from the walls. So I had to adjust the ties a few times.

Exactly how I train my plants, except I top after the third node (so six main colas) and do the exact same thing.
