400 does more of a 2.5x2.5 area in my opinion. You can do a 3x3 area with decent lighting and have a half foot border. I personally run a 600 and then a 1kW in my 4x4.

yeah it will i have a 400w in 4x4 tent, but the light doesn't have the penetration that a 600 or 1000. If i had to do it agian i would go with 600 for 4x4

ya thats what i figured.. it just doesn't seem like 400 can go the full 4x4 if your not tryin to screw the outer plants... thanks

ha thats what i was thinkin about doing.. i think i might try 3'x4' scrog. I have nine, two and a half foot veggin plants right now tho... not sure where to fit em all in.... at first i was gonna do sog but scrog seems more fun and higher yielding.

im doing a scrog right now and my plants were around two feet trust me u need to fim or top. with the plants being that tall the main stem wont tolerate the bending. i have some sativas and an indicas and niether tolerated the bending. but i think if you either set the screen real high or have two nets stacked on top of each other at about a foot apart and it should be ok if itll all fits

lol a 250 watter is for that area.... a 400 watter will do a 4 x 4 area... that said the more the better if you can cool it right

agreed..I have a 400 in a 4x4 really(40 inches x 40 inches) and it does the job im going to put another 400 in it and have a strong as fan to cool it and see what that does tho..If its too much then i would prob get a 600 or a 250 to add to the to the 400.I like the 400 because you can place it closer to the plants then a 600 so if i can keep both 400 cool im thinking i will benefit more from that.

i spent a good while growing personal nugget from a 250 watter... that with a batwing reflector, and a good fan i had my light 4-6 inchs from my plants... id imagine with a cooltube with a good 6 inch vortex cooling it{overkill} and that same good fan i could prolly have them touching even....

ive pulled has much has 6 ounces with that lil shit light per harvest!

make the switch to a 90w led, they kicked ass over my 400w mh/hps.. there no joke a decent 90w runs under $200, but they are worth it.

I have five plants (3gal buckets) under a 400w hps, but I've added three 68w cfls. I flipped to 12-12 at 28 days. Tallest (skunkberry) was about 10 inches--I have a pretty low ceiling. I figure I'm pushing the very limit.
