He never did, nor did anyone who supports M4A actually state its total cost. Bernie gave a hypothetical scenario in which people could be taxed an extra 10k annually and then he proceeded to state that it's a savings "since on average they pay 20k per year". Bernie is incoherent. 30k gross is near what a full time employee making $15 per hour would earn.How much did Bernie say his plan would cost?
A study conducted by Kaiser Permanente at the behest of the US House of Representatives concluded a total cost of 32 trillion dollars for the first decade. Another study concluded 49 trillion.
A better question is, once the taxes are being exacted and the total cost of healthcare begins to decrease, will the taxes then decrease or will the gov't spend the difference on something else?
