I'm new to growing this will be my first plant. I am wondering if it would be possible to grow one in my bathroom, It has an 8 foot ceiling with a heat lamp, exhaust fan, and a couple other light. The only reason i want to grow it in my bathroom is because i live in a 1 room theatre style apt. I have been reading quite a bit about growing and such, but what are your thoughts?

dont see why it wouldnt work

towards the end you might wanna not shower, water vapor during budding isnt good i dont think. also you would only be able to have your light on for 12 hours a day. i think it would be an inconvenience but i dont see any reason it couldnt work for sure

Yeah doesn't sound like a problem but its gonna suck one night during your plants dark cycle when u have to take a shit. U gonna have to shit in the dark, or on some other appts doorstep:blsmoke: And the humidity during flowering would be bad. u could get but rot and way lower resin production.:blsmoke:

just get regular potting soil (miracle grow or scotts, whatever), mix a few rocks in they like that

i got these miracle grow spikes i break them up and put them around in the plant (not very many), also if you can get a hold of some perlite, spread that on top and mix in with the soil

to start lighting, buy yourself a ten dollar timer (its easy as hell to set up) keep the plants on either a 24 hour light cycle for a week, and then move into 18 hours light, 6 hours dark or do that right away (plants need darkness so they can release O2, take in CO2, and the storage of starch and other molecules)

everything is available at walmart

heres the timer i use

Yeah you could easily find something usable at walmart or lowes. MAKE SURE NOT TO GET ANY TIMED RELEASE SOIL!! Try a nice organic soil where you can add nutrients as needed. Try to get one that contains perlite also. If u get the soil that already has nutes it will burn/stunt the seedlings. Lighting u can choose 24hours a day or 18 on 6 off for veg. 18 is plenty for a young plant. then switch to 12/12 when u flower. If its cold u might want to use the heat lamp a little just for warmth but youll also need to pick up some other lights. U can use cfls or hids. Probably in your sit i would pick up about 3-4 6500k cfls for veg and 3-4 2700k for flowering. :blsmoke:

Dude don't bother. It would be a horrible place to grow. Buy a grow hut or grow tent. Then you can have a sealed growroom. Its worth the money bro. It totally hides all the light. Plus it already has reflective material on the inside and they're portable. Its not like something that's screwed together and is made of wood. That's for the birds. You could also get CO2 in there as well. Completely sealed. I bought a new Hydrohut, black with blue trim and has a silver lining. The old Hydrohuts with the white interior had a toxic gas that developed from the glue.
