equality is an extremely broad term. Having an equal-society is one where status and money are removed. Obviously there will still be inequalities in certain respects. Somebody may not be as strong, or not as sexy, not as intelligent... However in an equal society, somebody being sexier than you are does not mean they are more likely to make more money than you, or enjoy a better status... as status and money do not exist. I'm not talking about everybody being a clone, just an end to the class system, an end to money and status, death of the ego.

In response to the fact that there is no system where everybody gets what they want... this is because we have yet to create that system.

Hands down you are smoking the best shit here....

I smoke every waking hour, and it is only the best that i smoke. So this statement is most likely true, i'd actually put money on it. I'm no lightweight though, what may turn you into a zombie wakes me up in the morning. No stupification here, only enlightenment.

well then think of it as a collective of selfish people looking out for their selves vs a collective of selfish rich people looking out for their selves

He needs to smoke less and read more. This idea is completely whacked out...I tried having this argument a few pages back. It's pointless, don't waste your time. It's like stopping to talk to the mad person on the side of the road who's dancing around with headphones on, but the batteries died years ago.

Yes, I know. He says certain people should be off the planet but not dead without explaining how that is possible. Everybody should be equal although people are never equal and you cannot provide every service with a limited amount of time and resources. The idea came out of an opium dream with no foundation in reality.

I didn't say they should be off the planet. I said they don't belong on this planet. You seem to read whatever you like no matter what words are in front of you. I don't smoke opium and I haven't claimed to, unless you mean i'm reiterating somebody else's opium dream?

Everybody should be equal in status... I already explained that several posts back so taking it out of context this time is deliberate on your part. A doctor is no better than a crack dealer, and a man working in a factory is no better than a guy that needs to beg for hand-outs because there aren't enough jobs.

what the fuck is this supposed to mean?

what about being equal in status suddenly limits time and resources?

It is you that needs to actually go back and read again, and again, and again... because you obviously aren't getting it, arriving at conclusions spoon fed to you by the corporate media believing that you make your own choices. Really you're just a guy that's sold his soul. You ran out of answers several posts ago, if you haven't got anything constructive to add go and pollute another thread.

There are limited resources on this planet. I guess you are going to get the rest of them from other planets. Maybe you can get scottie to beam them to us.

I am not sure how you expect one guy to work in a factory all day and another guy lay around in a drug induced stupor and then tell the guy in the factory that they are equal.

Very little of what you have said makes any functional sense.

Who is going to ensure all this equality? Politicians? Are they going to be equal too? And if they are equal, what right do they have enforcing this equality?

You're worthless man. I posed a large number of objections and questions and you refused an intelligible response. I didn't stop posting because I ran of out of retorts, it's because you were simply ignoring what I posted and repeating the same useless drivel over and over.

You collectivists are all the same.

Better? What do you mean by better? Better in what way? When I go to the hospital I would certainly assume that the Doctor would be the person to see about my condition rather than the crack dealer, simply because the doctor is "better" at medicine than the crack dealer.

can you elaborate on what you mean by better? i am not mocking you or anything i just wanted to know

The local occupy protest just got told by a judge they had to move on, so they occupied the courtroom instead

I'm one of the crazy whacky fuckhead anarchist terrorists that would like to see politicians hung by their necks, but well, these occupy movements have now reached the stage of being utterly stupid. all they are now doing is ruining a public space enjoyed by the hardworking folk, and harming the local small businesses due to folk avoiding em. We've a little place literally 100m from the protest site, so farthey have managed to destroy the income of the business and traipse mud EVERYWHERE ruining carpets and royally pissing off the cleaners.

And I'm not sure NoDrama, i've not kept up with the thread, but i think he might be meaning that in terms of a doctor is not a better person than a drug dealer. Humans are humnas no matter their occupation or skillset. But as you say, in termos of professional ability, a doctor is a damned site better than a drug dealer, with the exclusion of the rare case like howard marks etc, drug dealers generally never got through shool, let alone 10 years of medicine.

You obviously are mocking, as you can obviously read... if you take the sentence within the context of the whole post then it becomes obvious that 'better' in this case means 'above in status'. Just reading keywords will not get you anywhere.... next time you struggle, i recommend reading the post several times before commenting to save yourself looking stupid.
Well, using your own words...

How is a doctor "Better" or "Above in Status" than a crack dealer right now?

And while we are at it... Is a person their profession as you seem to indicate?

What if a doctor was also a crack dealer? How would that affect his status?

And before you answer... I read it several times.

A human is a human i couldn't care what their profession or anything. But it seems this is how the world works, just look at how noone gives a damn about killing off some arab kids by the busload, yet if it's a white girl, you won't read anything but that story for a month or so.

But don't you see the obvious stupidity in saying that a drug dealer is no worse or better than a doctor? One has studied and worked hard to get to the top of their class to be accepted to a University. At that University they were are at the top of their class and dedicated themselves so that they would be accepted to a good medical school. At medical school they had to endure arduous pressure to meet the requirements of the school while already working in hospitals and with patients doing research and rotations, only to graduate to move onto doing a residency with a hospital to become board certified.

The drug dealer? He likely dropped out of high school and never put in a lick of effort.

The doctor is working everyday to improve the quality of people's lives while the drug dealer is turning a blind eye to the fact that he is likely destroying them.

The definition of a "better person" I guess is objective, but a hard working person dedicated to learning, education, helping others and healing sounds like a whole lot better individual to me than an "I took the easy way, who cares who it hurts, individual".

I think it is more proximity versus degree.

If some white girl is killed 1/2 the country away you wont hear about it. If 10 white girls are killed you will hear about it for a month. If 10 girls are killed in a foreign country you might hear about it.

Just human nature.

So how do you classify all these medical cannabis institutes? They have all taken the easy way out, it's easy money, but they're supposedly helping people, in a better manner than a dotor might, in that they are promoting natural options, not shity chemicals that'll warn you on the box that it oculd kill you among 50 other potential side effects, or are they rug dealers destroying people? Either way they've taken the easy route.

In the UK we seem to hear about it wherever it happens, like with the McCanns, their little girl dissapeared and that was like 5 years ago or such, yet the news still won't let us forget it happened, 10 kids get killed in an equally far off country, and we gtet one news story, and never hear a thing about it again.

You can always count on those rug dealers to take the easy way out ;]
