if deathmetal is the best, it could because high vibrations or something?
and yelling would be more vibrations too.. maybe if you use a bubble system , put the air pump on the side of the box to vibrate it? :P

being as sound is really just a form of light that our ears are tuned to a certain frequency of, i think sound would work personally

Sound is just pressure differences in the air that vibrate hairs in our ear -- light is actual electromagnetic radiation that is absorbed by the plant.

Honestly, the only thing I can think sound waves doing is slightly shaking the stalk or something, causing the plant to make it stronger. The yelling producing more CO2 makes sense as well.

Sound waves and light is two very different things don't listen to whatever that person who said they're just differing forms tells you.
