Excess rain wiped out our squash too and that’s my favorite. We got a good harvest first but I could eat that year round I love squash.
My okra looked pitiful until it got hot, then it was a race to the sky! It’s been our best producer except I can barely reach the top now from the top step of a 5 step ladder lol. It’s good too because it’s my second favorite. I planted several blueberry plants and a couple pear trees too. I can’t believe I’m this old and am just now discovering gardening.I grow all kinds of stuff all year long. There's something for each season just got to plan ahead. I grow perpetually in my garden beds. I'm planting fall crops as I take out the spent summer crops. Some stuff will overwinter like onions and garlic. It's been a pretty good year. I canned another 4 pints of beans today and have some tomato sauce on the stove right now.
One thing that doesn't grow good at all is Okra. But that's because of the climate here in NW Oregon. I still try growing it and do end up with a few but hardly worth the effort. I'm pretty much just wasting space. We only have about a month of good okra weather before the night temps start to cool off. Maybe next year I'll start them indoors and put them outside for the hottest part of the summer. I think they need a good head start to be successful here. I'll try again next year.

My pear tree is finally producing fruit this year. My blueberries have been kicking out tons for a couple years now.
Use it to make a BLT. Bug, lettuce, and tomato sandwich.
My post above. Comice is my favorite pear. They're also self fertile so you only need one tree which is a big deal when you're stretched for space like I am.

They have some russeting but I did some research and that's pretty common with the Comice variety. They're a late variety so it's going to be a couple more weeks or more before I get to eat these delicious pears.
Aren't those Comice good. If people only knew. I would get it on OHXF87 size controlling root. You can keep that down to 6-8-9 feet.
That just means organic to me lol
