Do you have any tattoos?

I just found out that the artist that I go to everytime I want something inked, is always high. I have nothing against marijuana ( obviously ) and my tattoos look amazing, but now I'm hesitant whether or not to go back him again? He says it helps him concentrate better but who knows. Would you trust an artist to do your work while high?

he might have bad nerves or something else off with his central nervous system that cannabis regulate or makes more manageable he really just cant put it into words or might not even be conscious of.a lot of times individual use can be a highly personalized thing that we all cannot truly completely/understand but is very beneficial.plus who knows how comfortable he feels with his artistic process which cannabis can very well be a part of.also could be just makes dude feel good in general thus passing on good vibes to his customers skin.

if the ends justify the means. Some are truly better at their craft on cannabis, i have no problem with it as long as its as good as I'm paying for and as for your question, not enough

Noooooo. Fuck that. I know plenty of artists who refuse to partake. They take it very seriously.

That shit is permanent. You don't wanna take the risk. It only takes once. If you have nerve problems, you shouldn't be tattooing.

i understand taking their art seriously, but if they think being high could make them screw up someones skin permanently doing something they do for a living then theyre most likely over-analyzing their limits.either way cannabis affects everyone different, but its not like acid and its not gonna turn a true artist into a 6 year old.i bet more tats have been messed up by sneezing than interaction by cannabis.i guess poeple know what they can and cant do,but only if they try.

I don't think its an issue to have a tattoo artist that is stoned, I mean of course there r limits to everything, but I'm sure tattoo artists know their limits too just like anyone else u can usually tell if ur too fucked up to do sumptin properly. And I'm sure if they felt at all insecure with their ability to do perform they would say sumptin and not just be like oh well I screwed that one up. I seriously doubt they could make a real living if that was their attitude about it, and if u think about it they could screw up just as easily sober as they could stoned, cause for me MJ doesn't affect my hand eye coordination.

no tattoos here but maybe someday.
if your tattoos look amazing than yeah of coarse i would trust him. hes probably high all the time so he probably did them high. most tattoo artists are stoners. if hes used to being high all the time than he may not do something as good if hes sober. personally i think being high can improve art and creativity skills. i do think it diminishes math skills though. i suck at math high.

My artist is a buddy I grew up with and we smoke the whole time were working on a piece. Usually have a couple beers too and he's a help of an artist. But like I said I know him really well and know he can handle hos shit while high. Might feel differently about a stranger.

When i got my tat, hell, we were both drunk, in the country where I was visiting they had tatto joints with bars attached to them. The artist filled shots of whiskey for me, only ever had a bamboo tattoo so cant compare to a machine tat - but it was painful so the whiskey helped. He kind of messed up some fine detail, but generally the tat turned out great. Hehe, its odd to be on the table and look around to see a bar of people drinking and watching you get your work done :)
