Good point. I didn't fill them all the way under the assumption that they would start stretching and I would need to add soil to keep them from falling over. But of course that didn't happen.

I think you were right... They started drooping 4 days later...

Looks awesome I'd say youll get just under a pound of flower in the end

autos are kind of weird, some don't mind being transplanted, and some take it very hard. that's why people start them in larger pots than you normally would. the trick to it is to water lightly in the beginning, right at the base of the plant. do that for the first two weeks, then start to water in a ring around the plant, still pretty lightly, don't soak the whole pot. the first two weeks keep it fed, and the dry medium around it will keep it from being too wet, when you start to water around it, don't water at the base of the plant anymore. that will make it grow more roots, to reach out to the water. i use 3 gallon plastic bags, and i roll them down in the beginning and only put about half a gallon in each one, adding more soil and unrolling the bag as the plants grow.
the first two or three weeks is very important for autos, and you don't want them to get waterlogged

Thank you! From previous comments, I was convinced I over watered, so I waited 6 days and they kept getting increasingly more droopy (figuring if they were over watered they would get less drooopy over time). So I just watered them yesterday and forgot to pH the water! So I phed the remainder of the water and fed them that ON TOP of the non phed water they just received. So hopefully I didn't just over water them again... But here they are!

Lol. One can only hope.

I have heard putting them in such large pots will cause the plant itself to grow slower because the roots grow first. That is why some people start in smaller pots. I dont know for certain just thought I'd throw it out there.

Very true. The downside is that it takes quite a while for roots to form, but when they finally do, the growth will explode.
Personally I prefer this method it's safer, no chance of roots snapping when transplanting to a larger container.

So as you can see from the pictures, they looked great after watering. But 2 days later and they're drooping again. Did I over water? This is frustrating...
