Hi guys, I’m new to this forum, but not to growing. I maybe should have read the last few pages of thread because maybe someone finally swayed the masses. 12/12 flip is definitely the beginning of flower. With the various set ups I run, most of my strains begin peeking their pistils at 3-4 days. 10 days would be max for a slow girl, but it’s not going to run 4 weeks? One important factor is the age of the plant at the flip. If she is in early veg then the plant will have to mature some in the beginning of the flower stage. Other than that, when the flowering time says 8-9 weeks, then they are talking about 8-9 weeks from flip. They give you the time frame for a “proper” grow. They don’t give you several times for if you are “OK” at growing it will be 10 weeks. Oh and if you are a “douche” it will take 12. Don’t sweat the extended period to begin achieving signs of bloom if you are new to the grow. You will slowly get it dialed in with every grow. I’m going to support my claim by dropping a fat piece of evidence here for all you “count from the day you see signs of budding because it takes us a while to get our nutes, lights, growing medium caught up” out there. Take a look at all those nutrient bottles and feed charts provided by all the top companies out there, that according to some of you have no clue what they are talking about. Pretty sure they call the 1-2 weeks following the flip as “transition” period, and they lump it in with the bloom/flowering period. Looking at 3 major feed charts right now, and they all give a 9week flower chart with week1 being transition and week9 is flush. Maybe GH among others has no clue what they are talking about? I truly hope every1 out there grows the bombest medicine on Mother Earth. Respect
