How do you all manage if you want to germinated more seeds before your last grow is finished?
I have 2 weeks left to go with the plant I'm growing. I hate to have the space empty and would love to have some seeds ready to go in as soon as I take that one out.
I usually germinate my seeds and plant them in a small cup and put them on the windowsill for approx 2 weeks then I move them to the grow room. My problem is, when I've done this before it was summer so had long periods of light whereas now I don't.
So what do you guys do?
Wait until your room is empty?
Have another small space set up for the two weeks?
Any ideas?

Perpetual is the way to go. Get another smaller room or tent going, and start cloning too. Especially if you find a keeper you like, and your looking for good consistent yields.. You could just grow them in the open though, with some extra lights.

Root the cuttings in the IKEA Room. Like @farmerfischer pointed out, CFL's work great for cloning. A portable heater keeps this open area at 74F.

Transplant the rooted clones then VEG them out in the same IKEA Room.

When they are large enough, they are moved to flower in the 2 x 4:

Take some more cuts from these girls - and start the cloning process again.

FYI @PopAndSonGrows ...

Mrs. Starecase was looking over my shoulder when I opened this pic and she adores the old school sewing table in front. She doesn't care much for your tent set-up ... but her eyes were immediately drawn to those ornate legs.

To each their own I guess ...

Thanks, it's my wife's desk/repurposed sewing machine.

Easy to germinate & have newly sprouted seedlings outside your tent. As they take less light anyway, I use a low-wattage LED hung from my rafters (basement) next to where my tent is, and use a heat mat that's on a piece of 1" styrofoam. Totally workable for up to a few weeks.
