Do thrips affect pistols

So i got my cuts and they had thrips, i done my best to get rid and for maybe 2 weeks after i thought i had i saw no signs they remained.. when pistols began to show everything was ok and maybe a week later alot of amber
Moved it out checked for herm couldnt see any signs, moved to a different location couple doors away as a project for him and yesterday we noticed some thrips on his plants and more pistols have turned amber but still no sacs/nanas and its still all white hairs from the calyx

Is it possible the thrips are killing off the pistols and csusing the color change of them

(Sorry about the ridiculous paragraph if i could of worded it shorter)

The attached pic is one of my buds of it, not from the suspect plant (5w 3d since flip)

His lower arms was the ones with amber pistols showing, we chopped off an entire arm removed from room and opened buds up & no sign of seeds starting either

I think thrips prefer eating leaves, other bugs like russet mites can affect pistils, foliar sprays can do it as well.
