Do plants just "Stop Growing"?... what's going on here?

My plants have seemed to stopped growing.... They are about 6 weeks old and still vegging. (I'm waiting on my HPS to come in to start flowering). I thought I was overwatering cause they were starting to proop and curl. So I cut back on watering. But it looks like they haven't grown ANY in the past week. Here's my setup...

MG Potting Soil
No Nutes (as of yet)
18 - 6500k cfl's on 18/6
Very Good Air Circulation

Any ideas??

Come on man cut me a break... Is it really that bad to use MG soil? I mean it's only dirt...and marijuana is only a weed. I'm sure the soil is at least pretty good. I know I don't mix my own and shit, but for just some home grown it should be fine shouldn't it??

I started using mg having the same mentality as you but I had some sever nute burn on my plants and ended up chopping it and starting over. Now I use a mix of fox farm ocean forest and light warrior, the difference is night and day. Imo I think it was the yellow nute balls in mg that were burning the roots or it could be its just shitty soil

nothing is wrong... some plants take more time to show results... unless it's weather damaged (idk)

MG is a good start but it lacks minerals needed to make a good grow. however, if you can find calcium, magnesium, sulfur, chlorine, colbalt, nickel, and sodium as supplements, then add it and you will do well.

What size of pots are you using for the plants? I imagine that if they ran out of room to root the growth would definitely slow if not stop completely.

I use MG soil and do just fine, I do use other nutrients but the soil has served me pretty well, I've never had a problem like this.

Ok so what soil should I get? A premix would be ideal for me. I have Home Depot and Lowe's near me. Does it have to be expensive?

I want the easiest... I don't want to purchase different stuff and mix shit, I want to get one or two bags of something decent.

I mean, what should I look for in a bag of soil? What key things I need to keep in mind when picking out good dirt?
Ok... no MG... got it. What else? I see I would have to order Fox Farm online. I need something from Home Depot or Lowe's...
