I think you meant to say "reliable pH measurement."What renfro said. RO is stripped of minerals. Some minerals are required for reliable tds measurement.
Also i added too much to lower ph I went from 7 to 3.2 so I gradually added to go up when I got to 5.8 I checked ppm n it was 700sWith 2 PPM water it shouldn't take much pH buffer at all to get a big change.
He did give you an answer. You don't have to worry about PH when it comes to seedlingsbasically pH is moot until you start feeding, ie the plant has its first multi bladed leaves and stops using it's seed reserves.
What’s a good one?yes adding anything to water raises the PPM. A bad pH buffer will raise it way more than a good one.
Do you only add epsom salt most the time? I see people saying to add cal-mag for under LEDs do you add epsom salt with the cal mag? What ppm do you shoot for? I'm vegging under t5's and flowering under led's and just switched to RO water. Also, you pH after adding nutrients.
Never water with plain RO.
What pH powder are you using?I know ro is stripped of minerals. My purpose for plain ro water is for sprouting seed. I just want to lower ph from 7 to 5.8. But when I added ph powder it raise ppm now I need to know will the water still act as if it’s jusg plain ro water or is it now considered hard water like coming out of faucet or somebody that nature
