Do people really grow plants like this?

I seen people do it before! I was gonna do it until I started to have heat issues. So, I decided to go CFL's for the mean time. I also heard that the HPS isn't enough of the right spectrum for veg, but I could be wrong.

yes hps is fine for the whole life cycle of the plant. or you could veg in MH and flower in HPS. or better yet, run both at the same time for the whole cycle. MH during flowering increases the THC content slightly but slightly reduces final yeild (not noticable) because it hase more UVB light. good luck, late.

I think I may pic up some T5's or something to start vegging like this and use it in combination with my HPS during flowering. Does anyone do this?
