Do leaves usually droop almost instantly after watering?

if its not normal why would it happen? i really dont think i over watered them its been a few days since i watered and both pots felt pretty light and alot of the top soil was very dry.. just curious if everyones leaves instantly droop during/after watering or if there is something wrong

mine are just starting to droop before i water them, then the leaves/stems pick back up. if there permanently droopy you are more than likely over watering, let the pot dry out a bit

plants are funny my leafs move up and down as the day goes on i find closer to night the lower they are. with that said i would say chill your looking to much into it unless your watering with hot or cold tap water and not room temp

i put luke warm water in my jug and let it sit for 10-15 minutes and watered them lights came on at 10 am and i watered at about 1pm only 1 plant was kind of droopy but that one has been looking a little odd lately the other 3 were fine before watering.. and i do let the soil dry out pretty good before watering im very concious about over/underwatering i just never noticed them droop during/right after watering...

i was wondering... right before i watered i started my first LSt tie down on all the plants could this also contribute?

Is your water real cold? It could kinda freak them out. I have to leave my water in an inside closet since my garage is so cold????

twice a day is not cool i water once a week give lots of water so your end up with a runoff then let it sit for like a week

if your using tap water? Make sure you let it sit out for 24 hours before using it for the removal of chlorine.
I put mine right in room with the plants for 24 or more hours and let it adjust to room temp then use it.
Make sure your soil has good drainage, Perlite is your friend.

i have very good soil.ocean forest happy frog & light warrior mix. and i did not say i watered them twice a day?? i usually let my water sit out for a day or so but i did not have the time to do it this time.. plus im sure the chlorine would evaporate quicker than 24 hours

would the lst have anything to do with the droopy leaves after watering?

Over watered...let it dry out. Twice/day is excessive. Depending on the size of the container and the plant, one good watering (just to the point of runoff) every other day can be more than enough. As far as the water temp. theory goes, I am pretty sure that cannabis evolved eons ago to cope with cold, driving rainfall so I don't think that theory "holds any water" sorry...couldn't resist. This is a temperate zone plant that grows quite well in the mountains.

lst can make them look droopy till the plant gets used to the new angles u bent it and turns its leaves back towards the light... Pictures tell a 1000 words.. so if you can post .. u should post a pic. Sounds like ur doing things right... Water till runoff.. then dont water again till pots are light... ect ect ect. Good Luck!

He never said he waters twice a day .. why is everyone saying that ?

I've seen this happen with different strains...also when watering with water that is a little on the cold side will cause a plant to droop.

ok so im assuming that the lst/possibly cool water caused the droop.. its only really happening in 1 pot... and its taller than the other pot so maybe it did not dry out enough inbetween i will keep a closer eye on that pot and make sure i dont over water... here are a couple pics taken a few hours after i watered and started the "LST" which im not sure if i even did it right

the first and second picture is the plant that seems to be having issues like leaf texture, curling, drooping etc and when i went to try and lst this plant it was very easy to lean over(it leaned from under the soil) and never sprung back up so i had no need to tie it down(this strikes me as a problem) the other 3 plants were very resistant and took force to bend and need to be tied down can anyone explain why the first plant is having these problems? they all seem related some how

lst 1.jpg lst 6.jpg

second plant in the same white pot as the plant above is growing fine but is starting to also grow "textured new leaves" im really wondering why this pots plant leaves are growing so awkwardly
lst 8.jpglst 4.jpg

all 4 plants under the 250w hps
lst 3.jpg

the two healthier plants(in my opinion) did i start the LST correctly? these babies are tough as hell i traumatized them atleast twice in their early seedling life but they seem nearly impossible to kill and i really love the progress they've made lst 2.jpg lst 5.jpg lst 7.jpg

rule # 1 is ... only put 1 plant to a pot .. always.. they will strangle each other out.. and if you end up with a male .. how do you remove it without destroying the other plants root system?

Your problems... look like they could be lots of things.. what are you feeding .. how much.. how often .. what ph ?

if you have seen any of my other threads than you already know that i already know to never plant more than 1 plant in the same pot... i already know this but now i need to work with what i got and try to make it to the end i do not feed them any nutes yet they just use what is in the soil dont know what the ph is ill be getting a ph tester soon enough.. they seem to be doing fine to be honest just that one plant has some claw like top leaves with an odd texture on the new growth...

i guess im honestly not worried about it they are still alive they have had a hard life but have shown me they are all very resilient they are honestly starting to stink already to lol i think im just gonna continue to lst them for a few more days than put them on 12/12

Cud defo be overwatering.... because they should droop when they are thirsty and immediately after watering should begin to perk back up....... so if they are drooping after watering ... they mite be too wet already... they like to go quite dry before they are watered again... you can leave them a week without water no probs....

yea i do let them dry out pretty good in between watering... the 2 healthier plants in the shorter brown pot have perked up like crazy when i checked on them this morning after lights came on... the other two plants still look ok and are not nearly as droopy as yesterday except the claw plant that one still has the "claw" and the textured leaves... other than that everything seems fine humidity was at 50% temp was at 77º i lst'd them a little bit more i will not water for probably about a week now cause i know they have plenty of water at the moment..

btw i am slowing putting more dark hours on during the day ill be adding 1 hour of darkeness to the day time hours until i reach 12 hours of darkness from 4am to 4pm... though i might move it from 6am-6pm not sure yet... still got a few days to go cause im only at 7 hours of darkness so i got about 5 days left till they start flowering hope i can get them mostly situated in this next 5 days

Well it seems you already know the answers to all of your questions.. I will say one thing .. take it or leave it. If you go into flower with problems.. its just gonna get 100 times worse.. the plants intake of nutes and amount of growing nearly doubles once the 12 hour switch comes.. You dont have a ph tester " soon enough" .. should have one before you started.. thats why the plants look how they do .... but it seems you ask questions then once people try to help you already know the answer? You say they are fine.. but they are not.. so if you want help you got to be honest with yourself.. they need to be in one pot and you need to verify ph .. you will have no way of meeting their requirements once they go into budding.. so whats your goal if you cant finish them??

This is not needed.. the plants should have the sudden change from 18 hrs to 12 hours.. this triggers them into flowering .. The vast change is what causes them to flower so quickly .. alll your doing is adding more time to your grow.. which waste more electricity .. Get em to the size you need at 18hrs then flip ..
