THIS REQUIRES A RAZOR KNIFE, BE CAREFUL, DO NOT CUT YOUR FINGERS OFF!!!
Sorry, some people dont know how to use tools, if you
dont know how i am sorry, please be careful!!!

well i finally decided to do a how-to. i always come up with weird, useful, crazy, or all the above ideas, but i never write how-to's.

first off I have named each picture for the appropiate step, so be sure to look for the name in the bottom right hand corner. this is for single, dual, or whatever flange setup you want. this is very customizable. i came up with the idea to help someone out, and decided it would work in an up and coming reconfiguration of my grow. i have my intake and my exhaust ports cut out of the back of my grow cab within inches of each other. so I need to divert the air coming in and exiting to do so in different places, ie i wouldnt want my intake to draw air right at the exhaust outside the cab, and I wouldnt want my intake to dump right under my exhaust inside my cab. the great thing about a homemade flange like this is you can also cover up existing holes in the walls of your cab, and use the flange as the new wall.

this really only requires a flat piece of plastic at least a few inches larger all the way around than the hole/holes you wish to cover. the top to a tupperware container is great. step 1 shows all my materials, everything is probably self explanatory except the water bottle. that is a form to support the actual cutout. step 2 is to trace your conduits. i used 2 3 inch pvc elbows, so i can bring air into the top and the bottom of my cab. i made sure one end of one elbow was the size that fits into the elbow, traced that end, and then cut the pizza pie as I like to say!! Step 3-9 show some of the process as the cuts were made, as well as showing where to cut, what to do with the form to support the hole. steps 10 and 11 showed some prelimanary tests fits before I started taping everything up. always test fit or test measure 2 or 3 times to make sure you got it right. we are stoners after all!!

Finally, steps 12-17 show the infinite (meaning however many until you fill its stable, but dont make it to "thick" so it doesnt fit anymore) layers of tape i used throughout to seal it off. I would say that from start to useable finish it took me around 50-60 minutes. for most people less time that it takes to drive to home depot or lowes or menards or whatever you got. i taped it up further to have the yellow tape all over so it is the same color.

well i hope this helps someone. later
