Do I need to thin more?

I've got these two Purple Lightning plants that were bushy as shit!! I knew if I had left the lower/middle growth I'd have mold or PM for sure, so last weekIMG_0168.jpgIMG_0171.jpgIMG_0167.jpgIMG_0169.jpgIMG_0170.jpgIMG_0172.jpgIMG_0173.jpgIMG_0174.jpg I started from the bottom inside and went up about 1/2 to 3/4 up the plants.
Took these pics for you to check out...Do I need to thin more? I'm seeing what looks like early signs of flowering, so I;'m not sure I should.

I personally don't trim anything off just before and during flowering. I do like the trim job tho... that's about as far as I go with it also.

Thanks. I felt like I had to. It was so thick in the middle there was for sure no air flow in there and it was a perfect recipe for powdery mildew.

I thing you might want to try is super light LST, no major bends to creat new tops....maybe put some small stakes in a circle around the perimiter of the plant and tie string from the stakes to your outer branches to open the plant up a bit. would help with airflow as well as get some more sun to those inner leaves. But like I said if think she is ready to flower do not go crazy with it.
