Not saying the practice is right, or directly translates to cannabis... it makes sense that if you don't over feed your girls, it should be unnecessary...

Not necessarily true- coroprate ag practices in places like central valley California and Arizona/southern NM that grow year round do "flush" their fields via excessive flood irrigation once a year in between crop rotations to flush out built-up salts/spent pesticides and herbicides, just like people in cannabis growing (for better or worse). It's required for certain salt- intolerant crops, mainly due to unsustainable ag practices, soil mining, and the need to fert the shit out of crops every few months....
they are leaching a field....they're not claiming to remove fuck all from the crops they grow. i guarantee it.

This is after the crop is already finished and removed right?
Isn't this leaching the soil with no plant vs flushing a plant at some point before harvest?

That's what I was just typing to ask about when your post came through.

Do the Plants that your growing look good,if the answer is yes then carry on what your doing .Dont get caught up with numbers in growing indoors ,Go on what the plants tell you ,not what someone's saying you should be doing.I have good water ,but most country's do now ,states Canada ext.The only thing I use is a ec bluelab truncheon, for making sure the Nutrients are at the right level,For the stage of growth there in.

Hey man yeah i get what you are saying but they don't flush these fields while the plants are still in them feeding and growing.. This is done to prepare the fields for the next crop as you say to rid it of shite from the previous crop...
If you was to recycle/reuse the soil or coco coir for a second or third grow then yes i can see the point in flushing out any build up of nutrients/salt but i don't and never will do that so flushing isn't needed.
Flushing the hell out of your plants in the last 2 weeks isn't needed and only hurts yield and flavour! this has been proven many times...

You do not need to flush just reduce the levels as they need less late in flower. I finish usually between 200ppm and 400ppm form a peak of about 1100ppm strain dependant of course.

Agreed as i have said before the only time a flush is needed is if you fucked up and your plants are suffering.. I run rdwc so any issues is sorted instantly with a fresh tank..
Don't get me wrong i have grown in soil/coco for about 15 years before i changed to hydro and yes at first i flushed as that was part of the bad info i was given..

bad info everywhere just like cunts!!! haha

Happy Growing booom!
