Do I need to add anything to promix soil?

I was thinking of using promix soil. I have used fox farm ocean forest and happy frog before. I was wanting to know if I need to add anything to promix soil or is it good to go straight from the bag? What should I add to it if anything?

promix hp is soilless i add a little more perlite to it

I use Pro-Mix HP. I mix 3:1:1 (60% Pro-Mix, 20% Perlite and 20% Kellog Patio Plus outdoor premium potting mix). 2 Tbsp / gal finely powdered dolomite lime.

I've gone as high as 50-25-25%. I've also run Pro-Mix by itself (20% perlite added). I like 3:1:1 best. The texture seems good. I'm not in love with Kellog products. I picked it somewhat randomly at Lowes. It's about 7.0 out of the bag, where my Pro-Mix is closer to 6.0. Pulls it a little higher and makes the soilless a little more like soil. I aim for ph 6.2 in veg, 6.4 in flower.

I've read some people say their Pro-Mix is too alkaline out of the bag. If that's the case, then Kellogg would make it more alkaline. But, so far my Pro-Mix has been low, adding Kellog nudges it up more like where it should be.

all depends on what you like in your mix. promix pretty much has nothing in it. theres no nutrients in the stuff so if you want to add something its up to you. its nothing like the fox farm ocean forest thats full of organic nutrients. like terry said adding some more perlite is always nice. i usually add a tad more lime to help buffer the PH a little longer.

i use promix and fox farm ocean 1.1 with extra perlite ,plant love it .use blue planet nutrient elite series ,1/4 strength

Pro-Mix by itself would be considered a soil-less mix. It is a great grow medium. I mix it 50/50 with local triple-mix and do supplemental (500-600 ppm) feeds every other watering through flowering. Even the 50/50 mix is not enough to get you through flowering without some supplemental feeding.

I have used ProMix BX for many bountiful crops of ganja buds.
I always add vermiculite and perlite to enhance drainage and aeration.
Dolomite lime is also blended in to my mix.

I have grown many types of plants(flowers and veggies) in straight ProMix BX with out any problems.
I am quite finicky when it comes to my ganja plants, and have yet to use straight ProMix with my favorites.

I've used it, I had to adjust my water/nutrient solution to 6.3 and use calmag If i got over 6.5 I would have problems. It took me quite a while to figure that out btw. You have to feed them something promix is just a medium no nutrients .

I use HP (with added perlite) under LED. It takes 2-2.5 days to dry.

I use hp under hps and yes it does dry quick bout 2 days for me.. I thought that seemed to dry pretty quick but if others are saying the same thing it must just be the mix.. 5gal buckets..

I grow indoors and outdoors with HIDs, CFLs and T-5s and the good ol' sun.
The rate at which my medium dries out is dependent upon many variables.
The size of the container, the size of the plant, the light source etc.
I always add lots more vermiculite and perlite to the straight BX, as I like it to be very fluffy.
I think the most important addition to the BX is a generous amount of dolomite lime.
I have been using ProMix BX for well over a decade, and have been quite satisfied with the resulting crops.
