So I'm doin my first plant in a grow tent but I'm unsure on my filter does the ducting have to go outside my house becuase ideally I don't want to be drilling holes in my wall.it's only one plant but I no it stinks after 6weeks do I even need the carbon filter ?

Bro whats up. .I just installed a filter and fan..i put the fan right above my light to suck all the heat and stink out it has six inch ducting going throigh the wall with the filter just sitting outside the room..it works amazing...
Ive also seen where people hang the whole thing inside the room or tent and it just perpetualy.cleans the air..smelly.air.in clean air out..you.dont.have to go through the wall

Yeah the second option sound best for me we are renting so I would hang it up In side my tent and then just leave the ducting in the room ?

I would leave the filter in the tent duct fresh air into tent and use the air from the filter going out.

Thanks for tryin to help but what do u mean how would I get fresh air in just put ducting going out the bottom vent what am I ment to hook up where ideally I don't want nothing going outside

I would get fresh air in by getting an inexpensive inline fan. If you have a fan in the tent that should be ok and would not worry so much about drawing air in, however if you are cooling a light you do not want all of that hot air blowing back into your tent. I am assuming you are running a loop like:

Carbon Filter > Inline Fan > Hood > Out

Would this work inside tent carbon filter, fan (blowing out) ducting going out. Like a sort of vacume affect the fan should draw all the air up a spit it out the tent after passing threw the filter ?

You absolutly can attach the fan to the top of the filter with the flange and some screws and toss it in the tent at the top hanging just the fan and filter and clean the air inside the tent without expelling it..but what about circulation or fresh air..is there any vents in the tent.?

Yes I have a vent 2 vents at bottom 2venys at top (one is for ducting other for wires) also has a side vents I think. But if I had the carbon fillter and fan inside attached to ducting cumin out the tent would that not get rid of the hot air in the tent and push it into my room or out the window ? If u get what I'm saying

I have mine setup like this.

Tent, carbon filter inside, acoustic ducting, fan outside (sucking air out).

I vent the air out of the tent direct into the room. Not an issue at all for me.

I have a desk fan inside for air circulation and the negative pressure from the big RKV extractor fan pulls air in from space in the lower of the tent.

You need to make sure you get a powerful enough extractor to give you negative pressure for intake.

Works like a charm, silent (air pump is louder)

How is your carbon filter setup? Will mine work like this carbonfilter, fan, then ducting out of tent so it's like a vacume in the tent sucking air up and spits it out of the tent then I leave a vent open at the bottom to let air in ?

As long as your extractor is strong enough to create negative pressure that will be fine.

If your tent has venting at the bottom be cautious of light leeks if your leaving them open. On my tent it has blackout vents so this isnt a problem.

Yes I also have the black out vents so just leaving it open it will work for air cumin in ? I only have a small tent 2meters in Hight 1.5m in width I shouldn't need a big setup should I

From SE mate, they are quick, next day delivery if I remember correct. Quite like progrow as well, not had any problems with them or growell. Also that kit comes with a Rhino Pro filter and acoustic ducting, those 2 are worth the extra believe me. I couldn't believe it was quieter than my airpump.

What make tent you got?
