Transplant two weeks ago into a 5 gallon bucket and its permanent home... noticed a root poking through already, I can't transplant again so should I start flower? It's no where near as big as I want it

What did you transplant from?

How many days can it go inbetween watering?

5 gallon pot I can get a nice sized plant to go every 3rd morning for watering. Pics would help.

Not to worry GB...that does not mean plant is rootbound. Roots grow and explore (for food) but once out in the air...they will dry up and self trim. It's called root air pruning and is totally normal.

Veg as long as you need.

GB,
Plant looks good. I do notice that the foilage is very dark green. Usually from excessive N. Be careful and inspect leaf tips to make sure you don't give it a nutrient burn. Could also be genetics. Some plants are naturally darker green.

Notice that your plants widest leaves are just now as wide as the pot. That means the roots have just reached the inside pot walls. That's when veg growth takes off. If you want a bushier plant now is the time to top or FIM her.

Having the roots reach the pot is NOT a sign to transplant. It just means the plant will shift energy from growing roots (to support the plant) to growing vegetation. Once the roots have hit the pot you should see an inch a day or more growth. A previous top or FIM will mean you will have many more bud sites resulting in a larger yield. Signs of root rot include green and/or black roots. A pot full of healthy white roots is a good thing, eh?

Good luck, BigSteve.

JD, I think it might be the genes. I have another seedling in the same soil same nutrients and ours a lighter green, much like my new growth on the larger plant you've seen.
Big Steve, thanks for that info. After all I've read, I might have missed that some where. I topped a little over a week ago and I'm starting to see the results.
Thanks again guys!

Those are some monster sized fan leaves. Can't recall ever seeing any that large. Lookin' good.
