do I have to dry my leaves?

To make canna butter do I have to dry my leaf and sugar leaf? Or can I throw it straight like that into the mix, I just chopped two plants down and im trying yo use the extra in some way.

i took the screen door off my sliding glass door and thru it on saw horses like a sheet of plywood.

its fine to go straight in

but cleaner and better extraction from a dry product at least in our experience

yes kief does make a cleaner/ clearer less canna flavored butter.... or do you mean butter made with dry sugar leaves rather than wet?

dry rather than wet. im not a fan of kief or hash butter. ive done all of the above lol and had a much lighter green color and significantly better tasting butter from dry trim and popcorn thats been quicky pulsed in a food processor. yes there is a bit of kief at the bottom of the processor but nothing significant. ive made hundreds of pounds of butter in the last 3 years as i own a commercial edible company.

oh ok. I have not done separate batches for dry/wet ..... but then again the edibles I make are done with the remains of plants and hash runs. But I'll keep that in mind the next time I make a batch of something.
