Yes. But in this case it's not going to help seeing how there is no node below your tie. 'I' would wait till it gets taller with more nodes. Than you can tie it down in between nodes so those bottom nodes become top nodes.

Not that what you're doing is wrong, I would leave it.

yes and no in my opinion. those lower leaves are not really going to be growing for you. The third node normally is a strong one for me. I would not start training until around the 4- 5 node and then put the wire between the 2nd and 3rd node or even better the 3 and 4th node. this will give you more good node facing to the lamp.
