do i absolutely need to run red spectrum lighting to flower??????

hey everyone ...just wondering if its vital that i use red spectrum to go into flowering or if i can put her into flowering then when i can afford it get a red spectrum??? will that effect her alot??? and someone told me that if my nodes come up apart from each other that that nmean its a male....is this true or crap???? thanks for the help

Yes you can flower with a "veg" spectrum if you want. I cant tell you how much it will affect yield or if it will even. Some will say it does, some will say it doesnt, so I cant help you there.

Whoever told you that part about nodes stretching is an idiot. MJ will naturally stretch during flowering whether its a male or female. Smack that person for me.

hahah you got it man the smacking will go down thats for sure...... can you help me determine when its best to start the 12/12....i just topped it like four days ago so should let that go out but its about 16 inches right now and is a small bushy strain anyway ...i just dont know what the signs are to determine when to flower...thanks alot for your help
