Do cheap CFL's get hotter than more expensive ones?

All other things aside, do cheaper off brand CFL's produce more heat than more expensive name brand ones? Since heat from anything that uses electricity is basically wasted energy, it kind of makes sense that a quality CFL would be more efficient at what it does.

Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance.

Good question. I found that lots of little cfl's, say the 26 watt ones made more heat then the same amount of larger watts like the 42. I had a hard time finding any cheap ones that even went to 26 watts.

i use 18 watt never get hot not like the 23s
