Do both male and female preflowers start out looking like little balls one wit hairs

dying to kno second plant first was male i think where do the hairs cum from the little balls or will it just grow like dat

Yes, if its a female the first little growth will be more tear drop shaped and if male round

the balls on your plant could also be branch shoots as long as there are hairs coming out of the little balls your fine

will i be able to see any signs of sex 3 wees into grow help im a newbie lol but long extensive family history

I am about 2 and a half weeks into grow not sure how to sex the plants but i am showing small looking sacks with almost green leave coming out of the shoots will i show any signs of preflower or will all that happen when i change the light regimin also transplanted one 2 days ago leaves seem to be growing downward help anyone out there

u will not determin sex till flowering acualy.

i have just noticed a calyx myself it kinda looks like a thumbpokin out but when i look directly at iti see 2 little green dots kinda looks like leaf shoots ... my plant is young so i dont know... but it doestn have the hairs coming out the calyx yet ...but ive ben runnin 18/6 so i dont know what i should do hopefully its a girl ... does any one have picture of a male calyx forming or female formin maybe i can determine if i can compare pictures..

just not true. many times you can.

i just killed off a plant that showed both male and female preflowers, together in the clusters. 2 months old, started showing long ago though.

hey guys im 2 weeks into my grow and i notice some maturity in the plant but cannot full tell if its male or female yet somebody hit me back up on a private message and ill send you pics.

smokegood if your starting from seed theres no way you have preflowers after 2 weeks....even though people make a big deal about how hard it is to tell its not hard at all give it more time if its a girl you will see white hairs easily if its a male you will see grape clusters long before they can blow open
