Gurus are overrated. Most of them around here are self proclaimed.
Do all plants go through the "flowering stretch"?

you have got to be joking, looks like you pulled most the fan leaves off to prove a point
The buds do look full and well grown and I can see the side lights have helpt to fill the lower canopy, great job with the plants
problem is, there no canopy magment and because of this 90% of the space/light is wasted in the room
The 6 main shoots in the room look very good and each cola could have an oz's of top quailty bud.
look at my plants after I removed the fan leaves

some canopy magment but not a great job, gives me 250g of dry cured bud
2 plants in 2 pictures so you get a clearer view of my plant as I havest them
your cola's do look fuller than mine but you have 5 vs 16 good size colas so i would say your pulling 150-200g from your plants
would you say this is a fair comment ?
you can't really say there 2-3 oz's cola's on the plants, don't think any grower would believe that ?

look i think your are a really good grower, just try topping, lst or trainning the canopy in any way and you will get double the yeild, are you really so set in your way you can't even talk about canopy management ?
I am sure there loads of growers reading this and thinking the same thing, only trying to help you !!

My dear friend from England...I don't need to be a "really good grower". I only have to grow enough to suit my needs. Commercial growers who grow a pound out of a 34 gallon Tupperware storage crate are really good growers. I don't have to be.
If you think you are a really good grower then knock yourself out. I'm thinking you don't grow more than me, a pound at a time.

here some of my large plants
and the yeild
and another large single plant
and another one
could go all day got 1000's of pictures of 100's of plants i have grown over the last 10 years
and yes i think i am a really good grower lol
but you never stop learning and trying new things, so there alway new thing's to learn that improve your skills as a grower
looks like you stopped for some reason and lost your way

Stretched nodes = low light or too low of a kelvin value used, also geno/pheno dependant. This is solely dependent on how you grow, one things for sure, its better to boost the pot with books to get closer to the lights instead of letting them stretch to make up for light deprivation.
Vertically growing cola's (flower pre-stretch) = normal growth under 12/12, it is mostly bud sites starting to stretch. If you keep this to a minimum and give them the light they need, you end up with a corn dog on a stick buds assuming your running a dense strain.
Excessively stretching cola's = once again not enough light and or too low of a kelvin value used, you will have multiple nugs on a stem
Using metal halides WILL keep stretch and vertical growth shorter then any other bulb i have ever used. If your running out of vertical room, use the mh untill stretch has slowed.

I made an account just to tell you that you have the patience of a saint. My blood pressure is too high for that shit lol.
I can post now?!!? Beginner level grower here. I only need a few oz per year. Got some freshly sprouted Rio Negro from Centennial Seeds and only one female will cover my needs. Side lights for a Sativa maybe 2 to ? feet tall? I tried a little defoliating and small bud removal on my last grow. I liked how it SEEMED to work. I am kind of afraid of fiming, topping etc. but I read for sativa just emphasize the top cola. Thoughts, suggestions, links to beginner forums?lol
